I have a Jenny Lynn Crib by Welsh Juvenile Products for Better Living Model 4042 lot 9402 Reg MO. 175 bought 1986 need parts.

Hello, Karen -

Apparently Welsh Juvenile Products (located in St. Louis, Missouri) is no longer in business.

Products America may be able to provide the parts you need:
http://www.productsamerica.com/

I recommend you call Products America and ask about parts for your model of crib.

Note: In 1995 there was a recall of Welsh Juvenile Products cribs by the U.S. Consumer Products Safety Commission, but your model of crib does not seem to be part of that recall:
https://www.cpsc.gov/Recalls/1995/cpsc-welsh-juvenile-products-announce-crib-side-rail-recall

Note: If you cannot find the right replacement parts or if you wonder if the model crib you have may not have the parts with it because it was deemed dangerous to young children, you or someone who is "handy" may be able to re-purpose the crib into a kitschy settee.

Best wishes.

Coolant leaking out of backside of engine, high up and on drivers side... ??

At the back of most engines are welsh plugs. They are of a dish or cup shape and are ther to allow moulding sand to be removed after casting. As ther are made from steel they are subject to rust and corrosion from incorrect collant concentration. It will have to be removed and replaced and if close to the firewall of the compartment generally means pulling the engine for a proper job . If one is leaking it is best to do the lot as they will all be rusting out.

Nissan 1400 welsh plugs leaking

You mean frost plugs? Clean the outside thoroughly with degreaser and alcohol and then knock them in a little with a hammer, then silicone them. They are a domed steel plug, knocked into a slightly tapered hole.

Lots here on replacing them, Welsh Plugs, Welch Plugs, Core Plugs, Freeze Plugs :>)

My mb100 van 1997 model has water leak at the back rear engine.the radiator is ok and the water pump.is there a water hose or port at the rear side of the engine?what and where is the cause? thanks, ermee

You may have a leaking core or welsh plug. This is a large disk which is used to block off the holes left behind by the casting process during manufacture. They are easy to replace but difficult to access.. It may also be a leaking hose or even a cylinder head gasket but I would suspect a welsh plug first. Take the vehicle to your local garage and get them to pressure test the cooling system, this will show up the leak a lot easier..

8 penny nails are stuck in gun. How do you get them out?

If the nails are stuck in the rails, remove the rails and fish them out. If a nail is stuck between the driver and nose of the gun, you will need to forcefully push the driver back into the gun. Remove the head and cylinder and place the body of the gun on piece of plywood with nose pointing up. Using very sturdy steel rod, hammer the driver down. The steel rod needs to be slightly thinner than the driver to allow for the stuck nail. I use a broken driver ground thinner on the side that will need to bypass the stuck nail. Careful when striking hard steel with hammer, could spinter (I use a heavy brass hammer). Good luck

http://s371.photobucket.com/albums/oo152/fallingstarvideo/welsh%20crib%20products%20for%20juvenile/

the hooks are where the matteress goes. if you took off the long L bracket with hooks there are 4 of these. BUT 2 are shorter than the other 2, the short side goes on the drop down crib side. there is a close up on the photos but the silver hooks are where the silver bar hooks on to on the sliding rail to go up and down

Missing pieces

This is from Bassett's website.

Bassett recommends that all cribs manufactured prior to 1972 be replaced because improved safety features were instituted that year. If your crib was made in 1972 or after, replacement parts are available from Products America at 1-800-772-1041. If you are unsure when your Bassett crib was made, Bassett urges you to replace it.
