Canon PowerShot A630. How do you take the back off the screen of a Canon A630 camera please?

Question edited to add full make and model.
Question moved from Dishwashers to Canon PowerShot A630.

Personally, I would send it to Canon for professional service. It may just be a problem with insufficient battery milliamps.

When i turn on my camera i get a e24 on the screen

In one of my canon manuals is says about E.. (see the little dots)

Camera malfunctioned. Turn off the power and turn on again, then re-shoot or play back. If the same message recurs frequentely, the camera may be damaged. Note down the error number [xx] and take the camera to a custumer support help desk. If this message happens immeadiately after you have taken a shot, the camera may not have shot the picture. Switch to play back mode and check whether the image was actually recorded.

Sorry if I can't help you more, but Canon does not give more information.

Digital camera, sometimes no image.

It is a failure of faulty CCD image sensor. cannon has recall and will pay for repair and shipping when I called this #.

Hi there, I have a Canon Powershot S3IS and just lately when you try to turn it on it comes up with a message that says E24. I have looked through the manual and cannot find anything resembling this...

You have 2 choices here, one is send the camera into Canon for exchange or replace the Camera, this would be based on cost. You can't fix it as no parts are available from the manufacturer to the public.

Canon Power Shot A710 is

The hand with parenthesis is your image stabilization. It sounds like if your images are turning out black, you may need service.

Try hitting your display button a few times and see if anything shows up on the screen.

E 18 problem

The E18 error is fairly common. Usually it's sand or grit interfering with the lens extension mechanism. Or the camera's been dropped with the lens extended. Or the camera has been powered on, but the lens had been blocked preventing its extension.

Here's some things that you can do to try to correct it. They only seem to work for about 50% of lens errors, but they're still worth a try. Good luck! :

Canon powershot G2

Hi: It turns out that one of the wires connecting the LCD screen with the camera body probably is broken. It is a simple to remove the LCD cover and reconnect the wire, but it requires manipulating very small objects. The clip that you must re-insert the wire into is scarcely 1mm x 4mm. I recommend a bright light, magnifying glass, tweezers, and a very small phillips screwdriver. It might also be possible to aquire a replacement cable from Canon. E-mail them... Regards
