How to Set the Time on Panasonic KX T7730 Phones eHow

You don't. Panasonic analog system phones have one ring tone. You can change the cadence (single double or triple) ring from outside calls, but not the tone.

YOU NEED TO DO THE SYSTEM PROGRAMMING, PLS CONTACT SERVICE ENGINEER WHO MAINTAINS YOUR SYSTEM.

Basically, there are 2 ways of programming the date
and time - the short way and the long way.
If you are using the KX-T7730 phone on a Panasonic
KX-Txx 308/824 system:

SHORT WAY:
From the Switcboard / Main telephone
( ext 101, 10 or 9 ) with the handset on the
cradle/hook:
1. Press PROGRAM 0
2. Enter Date and Time
( The format is: yymmdd,
1 to 7 1=Monday 2=Tuesday etc, hh:mm,
0 or 1 0=AM 1=PM ) see example
3. Press AUTO DIAL / STORE to save your changes
4. Press PROGRAM to exit program mode

EXAMPLE:
If the date and time is 3 February 2010 Tuesday 2:15 pm you will enter as follows:
100203 2 02:15 1

LONG WAY:
From the Switcboard / Main telephone ( ext 101, 10 or 9 ) with the handset on the cradle/hook:
1. Press PROGRAM * # followed by the system
password ( default is 1234).
2. Now press 000 and then SP-PHONE.
Enter the year.
3. Scroll to the month with the right scroll key
(located at the right bottom corner of the phone).
To change the month use the AUTO ANS / MUTE
button.
4. Now scroll right again and change the date and
day.
To change the day, again use AUTO ANS / MUTE
5. Scroll right again and the time will appear.
Set the time.
To change am/pm scroll to it, and again,
use the AUTO ANS / MUTE button.
6. Press PROGRAM to exit program mode and you
are done.

If you are using the KX-T7730 phone with a Panasonic KX-Txx 308/616/824 system. From the Switcboard / Main telephone ( ext 101, 10 or 9 ) with the handset on the cradle press Program * # followed by the system password ( default is 1234). Now press 000 and then Sp-Phone.Enter the year and then scroll to the month with the right scroll key (located at the right bottom corner of the phone). To change the month use the AUTO ANS / MUTE button. Now scroll right again and change the date and day. To change the day again use the AUTO ANS / MUTE button. Now scroll right again and the time will appear. Set the time. To change am/pm scroll to it and again use the AUTO ANS / MUTE button. Press Program to exit program mode and you are done.

There are a few types of phone sytems that work with the kxt 7731. these instructions should handle most of them.
Changing the time on a Panasonic KX-TA624 system must be done from extension # 101 using a display phone. All others can use any display set.
1.- Press the "PROGRAM" button on the face of the phone
2.- Enter programming mode by pressing "STAR" - "POUND" - "1234" (default password = 1234)
3.- Enter program # 000
4.- Press "SPEAKER" button
5.- Press "FORWARD/DND" button to change to the hour selection
6.- Press "TRANSFER" button and enter the hour
7.- Press "FORWARD/DND" button to change to the minutes parameter
8.- Press "TRANSFER" button and enter the minutes 9.- Press "FORWARD/DND" button to change to the AM/PM parameter
10 Press "MUTE" button to select AM or PM
11.- Press "STORE" button (listen for 1 tone if procedure was executed correctly / 3 tones if procedure failed)
12.- Press "HOLD" button
13.- Press the "PROGRAM" button on the face of the phone

If you are using the KX-T7730 phone on a Panasonic KX-Txx 308/616/824 system. I think it can be done. Just exchange the phone for a 7633 and change out the TA for a TDA-50.

If you can provide the phone system type I will try to help as this is a system wide setting and there are a lot of different Panasonic systems out there. ......Mike

It's not the make of telephone you need it's the make of system. eg. I have a KX T7730 telephone attached to a KXTES824 system (look on front of big box on wall). The procedure for changing KSTES824 is (must do from the person's phone who has the main extension)

program 0 071102 5 0858 0 store program
(date) ? time am

note: date is back to front don't know what the 5 represents and the 0 at the end indicates am, replace this with a 1 for pm. Obviously if you don't have the same system this is irrelevant - sorry
