w19e (2006) 12 year old relic, legacy monitors, sure. CCLF junk.''
(1440 x 900). (not over this resolution)!\
HP does not sell parts this old !!!

get a new monitor, fixing cost more than new and for sure refurbs at $50. (unless labor is free, ? even then too much)
first off its too old , the CCFL are no good now.
"back lamps"

are you going to replace those. some are near impossible to remove and not wreck the LCD array.!
1: turn off power saver and timer in the menu OSD yet.
that is first first. (the book shows this feature missing) yours.

2: then does the flash light trick show there is data there, omg
the data is there, the CCFL lamps are dead. or the inverter.

see your boards here, see the brown one bottom 2 cream connectors. those are the 2x 500vdc power jacks to the CCFL tubes
if that is dead, ebay has it for 15 bucks. (what deal no)
but if the tubes are bad good luck there.
the first test would be the flash light test

w19e-ysl4vcr25ekwcyxfuustmq5b-5-0.jpg why own such a monitor if the ccfls can not be removed.
I avoid them all an buy 2010 and newer with LED backlamps.

Neer the center of the mother board you should find a tall heatsink with an IC mounted to it. This is the vertical output IC. Change the electrolytic capacitor closest too the IC. On my set it is C406, I cannot read the value without removing it, but it will likely be 47Mf or 100Mf @50v.

The tv is completely dead. i check the power supply everything checks out ok, there is only 2.5 volts coming out of the supply module. the input of the computer module has the same voltage 2.5...

there may be some bad capacitors in the primary of the power supply. do you get any led lights the front? most polaroids will have a red led on the front if the standby supply is good. there will most likely be some smaller caps 47mf@50v 10mf@50v probably that value that are bad.

Acer al1713 monitor and the power led flashes form yellw to green

The short answer, replace all of the capacitors. They can be bad without swelling. And there may be one 47mf/16v off to itself, if it fails, monitor will not come on. Also, check the menu or mode setting to make sure your VGA/DVI agrees with the cable if the monitor has both.

Gateway 8510GZ battery wouldnt charge

It is possible the DC board is separate. Also, I do agree about the nature of the problem.

Question: Will it run on AC power [no battery]?

Radio Shack carries many power capacitors. Just remember a couple of things.

1. Electrolytics have a polarity and can "POP" if installed backwards.
and
2. Always replace the same value, but you can go higher on voltage, just not lower.
EX: 47mF 50V can take a 47mF 65V but not 47mF 35V

Thanks
