i have had the problem with my screen freezing.. well after a couple frustrating hours of me thinking my 7" zeki tablet was broken i finally tried holding the power button and the positive and the negative volume button down together till the tablet shut off. it didn't give me the option to cancel which was different from the holding the power button down till it shut off.(which didnt work for me). after i reset it my tablet was still running slow which is what made it freeze up so i deleted the last couple apps i downloaded. my tablet speed is back to normal so now i transferred some off my memory/apps to my sim card to free the space back up so i dont over run my tab!!!!!
sounds like your system is booting up and running due to the hold power shutdown procedure. you might try replacing the video card or adding one if your video is integrated.
you need to replace the power supply. The fan sound is the fan for the power supply and not the computer. for cheap parts or used goto headgap's. They know what you need and probably even help you replace it yourself.
you can try to reset the BIOS and see if that fixes it. To reset the BIOS, UNPLUG THE POWER CORD FROM YOUR COMPUTER (FAILURE TO DO SO MAY CAUSE A DEADLY SHOCK) open your computer. Discharge and body static by touching the side of the computer. Remove the BIOS/CMOS battery which looks like an oversized watch battery. Leave it our for 1-8 hours. Replace the battery and cloase your case. plug in the power cord and try to turn on teh computer. If this fails then you have a dead motherboard taht you have to replace
Hello, The fan does run continuously on this projector however it should be running very very slow when the projector has completed it's lamp cool down routine. The reason for this is that a portion of the switching power supply remains energized (running) when the projector is at rest. But as I mentioned it should run very slow in this state. If it remains running full blast then most likely the fan speed control chip is shorted which can cause fail 2 ways, either the fan 1. runs full speed or 2. remains stalled (then the projector will go over-temp and shut itself down) I hope this answers you question.
did you hear any beeps from the bios? Try to remove all the peripherals like all the PCI cards, specially the "video card", your ram's,. Once you removed and cleaned all of those, put it back, make sure that theres no loose connections and boot the computer.
No sync means no video signal to the monitor. The rest sounds like a corrupted OS. This could be from a number of reasons, including a virus. If you have NORTON or MacAfee, Your open to a lot of attacks. Get AVG free, and use Mozilla instead of IE.
The reason the fans come on full speed is the MB senses a high temp on the CPU, until the bios fan control takes over after POST. This is normal on most systems.
I had my Optiplex GX520 at work shut down abruptly every time I turned it on it in the morning. This would always happen within the first 30 minutes. I would then get the flashing amber light. After starting the PC again, it would stay on all day (over 8 hours) without shutting down again. I found that the power supply was over-heating. Two things need to be done. First, in order to get the amber light to stop flashing, un-plug the computer from the wall for 30 seconds then plug it back in. OR hold down the power button for 10 seconds or so. The light should stop flashing. Then press the power button again and the PC should start. But why did it abruptly shut down in the first place? The power supply has a fan-speed-control circuit in it to keep it running slow and quiet when the power supply is cool. It gives the power supply lower voltage when the power supply is cold and higher voltage as the power supply gets warmer. This circuit either is not working correctly or the fan getting sticky over the years and needing more voltage to get it moving when it is cold. I found that the fan was not starting at all and causing the power supply to over-heat. To keep the fan moving at full speed, I cut the wire to it and wired it to the +12v output directly. Not the fan goes at full speed all the time. And yes, it is nosier. But at work it doesn’t matter. The best solution would be to just get another power supply from Dell if possible. Or buy a +12v, 70mm fan from Digi-Key and replace the original.
hold the power button for 10 seconds it turn off ur cpu and then start the cpu and hold F5 key u get windows boot menu select safemode try to login after login check in the controlpannel poweroptions chek in advance option see the menu down wheather it is in standby then change it to shutdown and apply the setting. and check it out it may work r else please try to repair the os.
i put in an 8800 gt oc and an extra gig of ram
