SOURCE: Refrigerator Door not closing properly

Hi, No the door is not adjustable like you might think Since it is smaller than the other door any alignment problem is really visible. First do check the bracket to make sure you didn't lose a screw and that the brackets are solid and don't move. The problem is the level of either the refrigerator or the floor. If you have a 3 ft bubble level put in on the top of the refrigerator along the front, NOT on the door. There are feet on the bottom front corners of the refrigerator, you may have to remove the plastic grill to access them but depending on the model and age of your refrigerator it should be attached with clips. The feet screw in and out but with weight they won't move easily so you may have to jack the front a little, remove some stuff or try a crescent wrench. Once the front is level check the front to back, the refrigerator needs to tilt slightly to the rear so the door when partially open will close by itself. Again you didn't give a model so on some the rear feet are not adjustable and some are. I suspect you may have adjustable and the box is not squared up. If after adjusting the front and the entire refrigerator tilts like an uneven table leg then you have to adjust the feet likewise. Use your level diagonally across the top both directions, it should be exactly the same. If you have non adjustable and they are uneven it is the floor and you have to use shims under the low foot. Good Luck!

SOURCE: Bottom freezer door/drawer won't close all the way on one side.

Remove all the food from the freezer and then the drawer from the cabinet. Now using a silicone based lubricant, lube the tracks up real well. Be sure to clean the tracks first if gunked up. Make sure nothing small fell out of the basket over time and is laying on the floor in the rear of the freezer section. Once done, you should be fine.

SOURCE: water dispenser on front of refrigerator door does not dispense water. Ice Cube maker continues to make ice cubes. Defrosting doesn't fix problem.

Water dispensing solenoid is bad. You need to replace the solenoid valve. This typically is independent of the ice maker.

Why on a whirlpool gold double door refrigerator

That's an easy one, the draw is not in correctly, preventing the door to close properly. Clean up the mess then work with the draw until it seats properly, then double check that the door seals closes right.

Water is sitting on top of freezer compartment and leaking out on floor

Make sure that your drawer is aligned properly and that there is no ice build up anywhere. Mine built up some ice in the very back and side somehow, and caused the door not to close tightly which lead to a similar problem. Removing the ice build up cured it.

My bottom freezer not closing properly

Pull both drawers completely out of their locations, clean off the slides that they each normally rest on. Clean off the surfaces beneath where they sit. Now, if they are both the same width and height, switch them and see if the problem is solved. If not, check the actual drawers to see if their sliding surfaces are cracked or covered with any kind of junk. You should be able to get everything to fit with these procedures.

I have an LG refrig french door model LFX 31925ST/00. Purchased less than 2 months ago. The top plastic freezer door continues to get an ice build up on the front of the drawer only. Is this normal? ...

It sounds like a loose or bad seal on the top area of the freezer door. Use the old dollar bill test to see how good the seal is. Hold a dollar bill up to the seal and close the door. there should be some resistance. compare the resistance between the top and bottom of the door.

I have the freezer set at 3. There is ice forming all around the door and snow like frost on the food.

Frost buildup on food and ice around the door is due to warm air infiltration. This sounds like a door closure problem. Be sure that nothing is interfering with the drawer as it closes. Be sure to open the upper door and look down at the drawer top to see that the gasket is hitting the steel frame of the cabinet. Look all the way around the entire drawer front checking the seal.
Also open the drawer and hold it as it closes, so that if there is any food product binding it you will see it get hung open.
Good luck.

Hotpoint FFA70 - Freezer door will not close properly.

The rear panel can be removed,i have done it.I removed the 4 hex head screws from the top & bottom of the panel, and firmly pulled it forward. The reason i say pulled firmly is that when panel came out the back of the freezer was solid with ice.I have defrosted the freezer, dried any water from the unit and replaced the panel.Fingers crossed,so far,so good.In my case this build up of ice was definately the reason the drawers were not sitting in the correct position,as it caused the rear panel to 'bulge' out.Hope this helps.....

Bottom drawer does not properly close

Okay, I fixed it for now. The design for this bottom freezer drawer is not good. What happened was most likely that my son slammed the door, and it bounced and was slightly open. Overnight, ice started to form all over the compartment, including inside the drawer guides. Some ice was probably obstructing the drawer glide from sliding shut.

What I did, not thinking this was the solution, was to prop chairs against the drawer to close it while I searched for answers on the Internet. In the meantime, some of this ice must have refrozen in the closed position (due to the weight of the chairs). When I went to check it later, I had a little trouble opening the drawer. I gave it a hard yank and some small frost flew off, as I opened the drawer.

It was not easy sliding it due to the frost. I then moved it out and in until it felt smooth, and finally closed the drawer and it stayed in the shut position.

Kids are instructed to close the drawer gently and visually check that it is sealed. There is also an air passage between the refrigerator unit and the freezer so that when you close the double french doors, some air pushed to the freezer section and momentarily pops the drawer open. You should make sure that the drawer closes before leaving the kitchen. If you are on vacation, prop chairs to make sure both the freezer drawer and the french doors stay closed. This is important if you're in an earthquake area as a small tremor could open the doors and you'll get a fire when the lights stay on and burn through the wiring (as others have noted).
