I edit your post. no PC stated, HP what model please.
I is a desktop.
you turn on PC and PC is dead, no fans , no sounds from PC
no beep codes, no LED caps lock key blink codes.
no text, no logo's on screen ever (gee the monitors even sign on and say no signal if the monitor is good and PC dead. does it?
what monitor is there, name and model.

I will answer for DEAD PC only. (monitor tests ok on other PC)
generic desktops, only

  1. fans dead, 2 or 3 all dead. cd eject fails.
  2. PSU bad.
  3. Mobo devices shorted any that plug in can short, even HDD, memory, or CD drive. remove things that can short
  4. bad mother board
the PSU tests are here, takes paper click and 15 minutes work.

see jumper tests http://www.pcdied.com/power.html#Jumper

the service tag, is there to read.

  • Anonymous Jan 30, 2018

see this, its the service tag
line 1,3,5 tell the expert at least what it has inside when new.
    my wild guess, bad ram
you can bench test any PSU. or frame test it in case with 1 jumper wire.
    showing you see PSU runs.
    do the jumper test.

I am sorry to say that this is likely to be motherboard damage. The only other possibility is the the Power jack on the laptop itself is loose or shorted.

Either way.. You need a qualified repair.

The safe bet is a new motherboard.

sincerely,

There may be more than 1 limit switch. Look at the wiring diagram and follow it to all switches. Or jump out the complete circuit.

I have a casio CE3700 cash register. The machine locked up. I followed the normal procedures to resolve this, however when I turned the power back on from the socket the machine fails to turn on at all...

It sounds like there is a good reason for it locking up the first time then. Most commonly it is caused by a printer problem. Most Casio models will run the printer before they turn the display on, so if you can't hear the printer run at turn on, I'd start there. Look for paper jams. make sure the motor can turn freely. If the motor is okay, check the battery. You can experience weird problems if the battery has not been replaced on time. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
If anyone needs more information, the manuals are here:

My "hp pavilion a220n" won't power on. ... I was

Pull the power cord out and press the power button on the PC to drain the power for 10 seconds. Then plug the power cord back in and turn the computer on. If still does not work, then the power supply may be blown out and needs replacement.

I have casio ce-3700 cash register and i have problem E04 and noies come beep any one help me plz.

This is caused by incomplete initialisation. it means the program may be corrupt from being unplugged for too long, or you may have a bad battery inside the machine (change it every five years).
Firstly, try a flag clear to jump it back to REG mode:
Turn power off at wall Turn key to program position Hold down RECEIPT FEED button. Keep your finger on it. Turn power on at wall Wait 5 seconds, then let go of RECEIPT FEED Press SUBTOTAL
Turn key back to REG mode and try it. If the programming is corrupt, you will often see the decimal point in the wrong place.
If you want to re-program it, there is a manual for the CE-3700 here:

Hi. You have turned the key before you finished what you were doing in another mode. A flag clear will jump you back to reg mode. Try this:

Turn power off at wall.
Turn key to program mode.
Hold RECEIPT FEED button down.
Turn power on at wall and let go of RECEIPT FEED after 5 seconds.
You should see 'FFFFFFF' on display
Press SUBTOTAL
Turn key back to reg mode and try it.
