Need off board charging solution advice

Im trying to find a way to charge the batteries themselves with the provided standard scooter charger with the male xlr 3 prong end. i was wondering can i make or buy a connection piece with a female xlr end split to two female 12 volt quick disconnect ends. the whole idea is to be able to bring the batteries in my house(which is easier for me) to charge so i dont have to have them connected to the scooter and bring the whole thing in the house. i wish i can post pics.

Check power at the 12volt outlet to insure that you power is on at the connection. Try using a 12 volt convertor in the house to check the cord used in the vehicle.

SOURCE: electric mobility scooter says charge is full but won't run

This sounds she has tripped her circuit breaker. It works just like the one on your house, when you ask too much of it it suddenly goes 'pop' and seems to be dead.

Looks like you have the same scooter as mine, it should be a little white button on the back of the base. If you follow this link, it will give you a pdf version of the older model pride victory manual, (Mine is a three, they are up to about 10!) See fig. 8 on page 20 and 'Circuit Breaker' on page 21. Also, Page 33 has the troubleshooting info. Hope this helps.

How do I recharge the battery tried replaceing the fuses but it will not charge

the charging fuse on these is internal inside the battery box
1 carry out a continuity test in this blade fuse for open circuit
2 while open check battery volts is over 11 volt or scooter will drive=o/k if lower will need batteries replaced.
3.make sure your charger is the correct one for this scooter
as go go chargers conector are wired different .so a standard mobility charger wont charge these,as there will be no 24volt at pins 1 and 3 ,

Micromax x272 charging show but not charging

Hi, so it telling you it's charging however the scooter shows no charge once the charger is disconnected ???

1. First of all , is it possible to try another charger ? or test on another scooter.

2. If the charger proves to be okay, it's starting to look like the fault is with the batteries themselves, batteries can fool certain chargers into thinking they being charged when it fact the resistance inside the batteries have become too great.. They need replacing,...

3. Another issue could be the charger socket or the charging circuit to the batteries..
( is there a fuse ? )

Battery charger indicating that batteries are fully charged, but battery meter on the scooter shows no power at all. also the lights, indicaters etc arent working, im presuming that is resulting from the...

With a Pride Scooter the charger will turn green if its fully charged and if there is a bad connection in the wiring with the batteries. If you plug in the charger and the light comes on green right away then there is a problem with the wiring or connections. Take a voltmeter and read the voltage at each battery. Fully charged they should be 13-15 volts each. If they are less than 12 volts then they are not charged and the charger is not working correctly. If the batteries are really low like less than 8 volts each then the scooter might not come on at all. If you find that the batteries have at least 12 volts or more then there is a wiring problem from the rear of the scooter to the front tiller. Pride has a habit of developing problems in the harness running from the rear to the tiller. My suggestion is to contact your provider (where you got the scooter) and have them troubleshoot the scooter. If the scooter is less than a year old then it should be under warranty and your provider will have to fix it under warranty. Sorry I don't have a quick fix for you but scooters are notoriously bad to troubleshoot and repair, especially long distance. Hope this helps you

How do i charge my scooter its not charging i have brought 2 more now they are flat

Rangi It sounds like its a charger problem rather than a battery problem but if the charger is not working then you'll end up with battery problems too. Vicious circle huh? Try to locate a friend or someone with a scooter or power chair that has an off-board charger and borrow it for a few hours. Charge your scooter with it and see if all the lights are lit up on your scooter's battery level gauge. if they are then you'll have to locate another charger. You can see if your local provider has an extra they will sell you or have them order you a good 3 or 4 amp off-board charger with an on/off switch. Hope this helps you

My Scooter (Fisher & Paykel - Columbus) Will not charge

Hi. These machines will not charge themselves if the batteries are too flat. The charging system is run by the micro processor IC in the scooter. If the battery voltage is too low the the IC will not have enough voltage to operate.
Remove the batteries from the machine and charge in parallel on a 12 volt charger. Once they are charged, put them back in the machine, and try the scooter on charge again.
Good luck. Neil.
