My Epson NX 400 is giving me this error message:Error B88/69/68 C

I cannot get my Epson NX400 to print. When I turn it on it gives me this message: "Error B88/69/68 Cannot recognize ink cartridges". I'm using genuine Epson 69 ink. I assumed that the cartridge was bad so I replaced It with a new Epson 69 black cartridge and I still get the same message. How do I fix this?

brand new right out of the box. I followed all the instructions and inserted the cartridges and now i recieve an error when intializing. I tried taking them out shaking them putting them back. ive tried restarting the printer numerous times and without fail the message pops back up.

Try to run the ink pad reset utility software.
Please log on to epson.com. The software runs on win xp and win vista.

    Possible hardware failure unfortunately.

Reseat the cartridges. Turn the printer on and off. If your printer is not over a year old yet. Please contact epson technical support to get a replacement.

Brother NX-400. Never used. Error F04. I've looked for a model # for the foot for NX-400 to no avail. The foot that came in the box is Model T/FC-322. I can't help but think this is the wrong foot.

If you mean the foot controller, then the T/FC-322 is a substitute that should work. It's listed as a replacement here: http://www.sewingmachinesplus.com/234522001.php . The manual for the NX400 gives the foot controller as XC1154-051 . Brother changes the part number often but the wiring remains the same. Another substitute controller is available here: http://www.sewingpartsonline.com/foot-control-w-cord-brother-xc6651121.aspx .

The F04 message may mean there is an internal failure. This probably needs to be fixed by a Brother authorized repair person.

I wish that I had better news for you.

My Epson stylus NX 400 continually says "error..replace ink cartridges" I did and nothing changed.

Assuming the cartridges are new (since almost all of them have a chip on them)

1. Make sure you match color of cartridge with the correct slot. If same error, then
2. remove all carts. and clean both cartridge holder and cartridge contacts with alcohol.

good luck

Computer to printer connection

this is a driver issue.
Are you on 10.5?
Post another issue here if you need more assistance in uninstalling and re-installing the drivers. Include the OSX10 version too so we can give you specific instructions because there is a proper way to uninstall and re-install the drivers on mac.
You can also call epson if you need a walkthrough in uninstalling and re-installing the drivers.

Everytime I print everything is smeared. I can't understand the words. Epson styluss nx 400

Do a printer check first. Print a nozzle check pattern. If you see any gaps or breaks or missing colors on the pattern, clean the printhead.
Possible paper setting issue too. Make sure that you are selecting the correct paper type on the print settings page.

Smearing my printouts

Possible that the printhead got affected when it jammed the paper.
Take all the cartridges out and put them all back into the printer. Let it charge like it normally does.
Print a nozzle check pattern if you see any gaps or breaks or any missing lines on the pattern, clean the printhead.

Error when try to print from computer

Check what the error message is? Normally this problem comes if the printer is installed and either has not been calibrated or has one or more driver files corrupted.Try to tighten all the wires again. Than uninstall and reinstall. And try to use any disk cleanup utility before reinstalling because some times it can have previous corrupted files in the disk. you can use windows disk cleanup utility.
