Its turned on, i see the blue light flash every so often, but when i scan for it on my PS3 its not getting it. As well there is no volume in my ear piece, and when i push the volume up and down i dont hear it adjusting like i used to be able to. Any ideas?
I have the headset turned on, the phone picks it up but I changed phone and it is asking me for a number of some sort, I have no idea where to find it!

2) Make sure it is
OFF. This means there will be no blinking LED light. To turn it ON, hold
for one second (like the manual says), it will do a long blink once,
then intermittent short flashes to let you know it is on. To turn it
OFF, hold for five seconds. It will do another long blink, then it is
off and won't flash anymore.
3) Once it is OFF, hold the button
for five seconds. This is the only time you turn it ON by pressing for
FIVE seconds. The light will then go solid blue (like the manual says),
and stay on, not blinking. You are now in discovery mode.
4) Now
when you do Scan under the headset part of the menu, you should see
something like the name of your headset. If there is anything else listed there,
ignore it- that's probably just a cellphone or something else you have
lying around in the house.
5) Select the headset and you are
good to go.\
Also, the other common causes include that the headset could be paired with another device like a phone so the ps3 is not able to connect to it. Lastly, if it has a usb port, you can connect your usb to it and then to the ps3. After that, go over the whole process again and it should work perfectly. Hope this helped you? Hold the power button for 6-10 seconds when ps3 is searching- light will flash red and blue on the headset-- good luck getting it to work in Black Ops though.
I have the same unit. It does work PS3 just fine, but the instructions included with the Bluedio H9 are vague and poorly written.
First fully charge it. Then hold the mulit-function button down for 5 seconds or so. It will turn on (light will flash blue)...then keep holding the button down another 5 seconds or so and the light will go solid blue. Now you are in "discovery mode" if you don't get it into discovery mode, your PS3 can't find it.
Go
to the "Settings" tab on the PS3's cross-media bar and select the
"Accessory Settings" menu. From the new menu, select "Scan for Bluetooth
Device."
After you have added the Headset, you can control the Mic pick-up level (1 to 5) under Accessory Settings -> Audio Device.
Pairing the Headset with the PS3 Before
the Headset can be used with the PS3, the two devices must be ‘paired’
so they can communicate with each other. Use a gaming controller for
this procedure and ensure that the Headset is powered on (flashing blue
LED light) and that it is not being charged via USB cable.
1. Power on your PS3 console.
2. Within the “Settings” menu, press X on “Accessory Settings.”
3. Press X on the icon labeled: “Manage Bluetooth® Devices.”
4. Scroll down and press X on the icon labeled: “Register New Device.”
IMPORTANT:
Depending on your model of the 8860 Bluetooth® Headset, your power
button is either an oval shape with an icon of a circle with a line
going through it (5a) or it is a button with a phone icon (5b). Please
follow the appropriate next step depending on your model of the 8860.
5a.
Once at the next screen, prepare the Headset to be paired with the PS3
by holding down the K1 button until the LED flashes Blue and Red (hold
K1 approx 12 seconds).
5b. Once at the next screen, prepare the
Headset to be paired with the PS3 by tapping the pairing button located
next to the volume controls on the side until the LED flashes BOTH Blue
and Red.
6. Once the Headset’s LED indicator is alternately
flashing Blue and Red (indicating the Headset is ready to be paired),
press X on “Start Scanning.”
7. Once Scan is complete, the PS3 will recognize all Bluetooth devices within range.
8. Locate “8860” from the list of available devices and press X on its icon to be prompted for a Pass Key
9. Enter 0000 (four zeros) as the Pass Key and press X on OK
10. You should then be taken to a new screen stating: “Register completed”
Trouble Shooting Q. The PS3 is unable find the Headset. A.
If the Headset has been paired with another Bluetooth device, the PS3
will have trouble finding the Headset. Either remove the Headset from
the paired device or turn off the Bluetooth power on the paired device.
Make sure that your blue tooth is in pairing mode when the sysytem is scanning.(refer to blue tooth headset manual for intrustions)
I hope i have helped and I hope it works!!
turn the device off (red LED flashes) then hold the button for atleast 10 seconds until both BLUE and RED LED flash aternatively... not just blue, pairing code is 0000
10. Your headset should now be successfully connected.. start talking into it to see the bar level move up and down to confirm its working.
Hope it helps.
Make sure the headset is off and there are no flashing lights. On ps3 go to settings and look around cuz i cant remeber were it is at but look for manage devises or manage blue tooth devices something like that. You will select that and it will ask you if you want to search for devices. WAIT! First you need to put your headset in pairing mode. Hold down the side button (the one that flashes blue when it is on) and you will see it turn on and flash. DO NOT LET GO OF THE BUTTON!! KEEP IT HELD DOWN UNTIL THE LIGHT STAYS BLUE, NO FLASHING. you are now in pairing mode! Select search for bluetooth devices on your ps3 and it will begin scanning. keep your headset close to your ps3. When your ps3 finds it, it will ask for a code. Enter 0000. Thats it! ENJOY!
Ok people, here is how it is done- Turn off your bluetooth. When it is off, press and hold the main button (power button) until it flashes(keep holding even after it flashes). The light on the device should turn solid blue (instead of flashing) now you can let go of the power button. My device was picked up immediately... after 2 hours of trying to figure it out of course, lol. Hope it works for y'all!
