Kodak model DX3600 quick set up disk to computer from pod

I need the Quick set up disc for my computer so I can transfer my pictures to the Kodak easyshare. My old computer crashed and I had to buy a new one. It is a HP with vista.

  • WALBASH Aug 29, 2007

I bought the camera and pod and can't believe no one will help me in replacing the set up disc. Why should a Kodak customer continue to purchase that product if they refuse to help a customer who just needs a replacement disc that was lost. They want to charge to assist a customer, with one of their own products.

How do I transfer pictures from SD card to computer

you could use an external memory card reader, or you could install the easy share software that came with your camera on a disk, or download it from Kodak (after registering your camera) here:
KODAK Support
After you installed (and only then) you can connect the camera and the software will allow you not only to down load the pictures, you also can manage them with the software in folders and so on.

Got a new kodak easy share camera for christmas. I want to download the pictures to picasso so I can edit them. how do I transfer them to picasso?

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program, such as Picasa.

UPGRADES FOR DX3600

Hello PLNTSR, I own two models of Kodak cameras. Not one of them have ever been upgraded through Kodak. If you visit the Kodak website, check support and find your camera, if there is a FIRMWARE fix, then it's an upgrade. If there is no firmware fix, then there is no upgrade. Hope this helps.

Transfer folder(s) of pictures from my Kodak EasyShare program to 'My Pictures'on my computer. having problem with 'Burn cd/dvd' application on EasyShare software.

you're not trying to burn the pictures to your 'MyPictures' thing.

close that and go get the EasyShare disc, your EasyShare Kodak camera (i hope) and your transfer cord

Plug your transfer cable into the camera from the small end, and the large end into the USB port of your computer. This allows the computer to recognize the camera and begin building adapters for it.

Insert the disk for the Kodak Easy Share program into your disk drive. Go to your "Start" button and hit "Run." This will bring up a window allowing you to choose the letter of your disk drive to find the file to run. Your computer may have Autorun, so it is possible you do not have to follow this step. If you do not have Autorun, click on the letter of your drive and choose the "Easyshare.exe" file when it populates. Then hit "Run" on the bottom of the window to continue.

Click on "Next" on your Install Wizard when it begins. This sets up the program to be used if you do not already have it on your computer. Click "Next" on all following boxes, as this gives you the basic set up and files needed to run the program.

Wait for the program to begin. Once it has populated the window with a gray Kodak Easy Share block at the top of the window, you are ready to begin. Click on "Add Pictures" on the top left corner of the window. A new window will generate. Go down to the last half of the window on the left and click on the Kodak Easy Share file. This is where your pictures are being taken directly from your camera, which is the drive or USB port it is connected to.

Choose on the next box the folder you wish to save your pictures under. You can opt to leave it in the Easy Share folder, or to rename the folder for the type of pictures you are uploading. If you have wedding pictures, you could right click on the folder and hit "Rename." Then type in "Wedding Pictures" and click anywhere on the screen. This will save your folder name.

Delete the pictures from the camera after they upload is an option you can choose to click on if you want your camera erased when the pictures are done. If you want this, click the box next to the "Delete From Camera" option under the folder name area. When you are ready to upload, click "Done" in the bottom left corner of the window. Now you have uploaded your pictures to your computer and cleared your camera.
