How can I fix this?

Hello. There is an LE error that means "fill error". There is also a "tE" error that means "sump thermistor failure". You are probably getting the tE error--the thermistor is located at the bottom front of the washer tub in the center. If water is leaking from the bellow(the rubber part that seals tightly against the door), it might be spilling down onto the thermistor wires, shorting it out. With any leak, this will be an INVOLVED repair. My suggestion is to call for service--to reach anything in the front of the washer internally, the front panel must be removed--this is complex, and must be done carefully, especially if the bellow is leaking and needs to be replaced. I hope I helped you!

What does the code te on the LG Tromm washing machine mean?

The TE error or fault code is to indicate a defective water temperature sensing thermistor. The thermistor cannot be repaired and will have to be replaced.

I have a Maytag Neptune MAH 6700 AWW. It is shutting off and giving error code tE. Customer service does not recognize the error code. Can you help?

This is a problem with the signal from the water heating element "Thermistor" a Thermistor is a solid state sensor that senses temperature, in this case water temp. The Thermistor is part of the washers water heating assembly and not sold separately from it. There is a factory repair bulletin associated with the problem and the new part has improved reliability. I can't understand what the Maytag folks you called would tell you it is not listed, it is a common fault in the Neptune. Please rate my help. Thanks

I have a Maytag Neptune MAH8700AWW with error code tE, lower case t and upper case E. What causes it. I finally got it in diagnostic mode and it says U133 but wont go any further.

"te" error code is caused by a faulty thermistor; likey cause is:
a. Loose wiring at the control panel (directly behind the cycle selector knob)
b. Broken wire at the thermistor (located at the bottom/front of the tub)

To access the wire plug connectors at the control pannel, remove the top cover of the washer. Stand in front of the washer and look for the plug connectors behind the control panel. Pull apart the plugs and re-install.

Test the washer. If the "te" error still occurs it will be neccesary to remove the front panel as well (two sets of special plier-type tools are needed).

Inspect the thermistor closely, with good lighting. If there's a break in the wire it will be at or near the black sheathing / heat shrink material.

Just like a reference guide, this service manual could helpful: MAH9700AW

Hope this helps.

Getting a "te" error code -- a heating issue?

I had the tE or te error (an L with a line through it) error on my LG front loader and my local appliance store sold me the thermistor for $7. I layed the unit on its side and accessed the thermistor through the bottom. It plugs into the bottom of the tank. Blue and white wires. No screws and 1 tie-wrap. (Leave the rubber grommet in - just pull the thermistor rod out.) Works like a champ!

Dishwasher will not run and its showing a code of tE. Any idea what the problem might be ?

The thermistor is located between the terminals of the heater and comes as part of the heater assembly. You will need to pull out the entire dishwasher to replace it. The heater assy is stuck into the side of the sump, you can access it from the bottom of the d/w once ou have it out. The only source of parts in the US I know of is LG in Huntsville AL.
