It is possible to change out that relay...if your unit has one. This is usually a small plastic box on top of the compressor...but not a round tubular thing...which is the start capacitor. Just make sure you are careful...take out the plug. If you're messing with the capacitor...it has terminals which do contain hazardous voltage. Discharge with a screwdriver across the terminals. Generally, the relay is the thing which gives the symptoms you're facing. Change both and you've probably got it...they're cheap. Not all models have both.

Pull the power cord for 5 minute to reset the control board. if this control panel malfunction still exist after the reset, replace the control circuit board.
This is a typical control fault that should be corrected by pulling power for 5 minutes. if not, this reset will confirm major damaged to the circuit board.

i just had the same call today i ordered the damper control because it seems at times more air comes in and than at time like 30 seconds later nothing and the fan is working its not mine fridge but what you can do take the freezer side upper shells off the ice maker on(not necessery but i thought it was easier) and take off the little cover which is covering the damper it has two screws and look inside of the opening and you'll see a damper, turn up the fridge and see if the damper moves and you can turn down the fridge and see if the damper is moving if not you need a damper! good luck
SOURCE: Fridge compartment is not cooling down to set temperature
The fridge gets its cold air from the freezer through a vent
between the freezer and fridge. The fan in the freezer blows air through
it. There is a flap you adjust with the
fridge temp. control. Make sure it's opening and closing when you adjust the
fridge temp ..
