Need to unlock tf-dvd7008

Step 1- open the DVD tray
Step 2- Press the "MENU" button on the remote control
Step 3- Press" 8888"
Step 4- Press the " DISPLAY" button
Step 5- Select your region. I would suggest enter " 0", this will make it a all region player.
Step 6- Press the " SETUP button to exit.

I also tried and it unlocked the coby tf-dvd7008. And I used region "0" for universal access.
1. Open DVD Tray
2. Press the “Menu” button
3. Press 8888
4. Press the “Display” button
5. Region Code Number shows up. Use the numeric keypad to select your
region code number (0 – 6).
6. Press the “Setup” button to exit.

I hope I'm not giving you the same instructions that you have been using. But if not I hope this helps:

1) Remove the dvd (if present) from the player
2) Open the tray
3) Press STOP on the remote
4) Press 7 0 on the remote
5) Press MENU on the remote
6) You can see the current region on the top of the screen
7) Press the appropriate region code, e.g. press 5 if the region code needs to be Russia. Press 0 to make the dvd player region free.
8) Press MENU
