The needles can be replaced but need to be secured by riveting and or epoxy glue. Most often the needle plate is cracked and neither of above will hold
to do it right. Replace the entire needle plate.

Replacing needles on pfaff 788 serger

No worries. One needle is always lower than the other. Just make sure when installing that the needle is pushed as far as possible before the screw is tightened.

Needle threader won't work on my Singer 4423

Hi there,

The needle threader hook is very tiny and easily bent or damaged.
The needle threader is designed not to turn, if the needle is not at its most upper position to protect the threader - Turn hand wheel until needle reaches its highest position.
Needle not alining with threader hook - Replace needle.
Threader hook bent - Replace with new needle threader hook.

Hope this helps.

Read more from the link I attatched.

Good luck & have a nice day!

The needle is hitting the plate all of a sudden?

If it hit all of a sudden it most likely was your needle got bent. Replace needle and don't pull the material. Let the foot do the work.

Replace needle on a Huskylock 905

Look in your owner's manual for needle replacement procedure. You have to unscrew the small screw holding the needle.
Be careful that the new needle is properly seated before screwing it tight. Otherwise, you might end up with it slightly askew.

How to chang ethe needle

there should be a little hand screw near the top of the needle, loosen it enough to slide the broken needle out, replace with a new needle and tighten, Just remember, if you don't have the needle in properly you will ave issues. Usually, the flat part of the needle goes to the right, I have a brother sewing machine and the flat part on mune goes to the back though. Just take note when you remove the old needle as to the position. Also, a little known fact, a sewing machine needle should be replaced after 8 hours of use.

I broke a needle and tried to replace both needles. Now I can't get my machine to chain. I have rethreaded it, and replaced the needles, closely following the manual and threading guide but still

it's possible that when the needle broke it could have caused the
machine to jump time and would need to be serviced to see if it
needs adjustment.

Zigzag stitch problems on brothers pc-420 sewing machine

Sewing machine skips stitches
1.needle inserted incorrectly
flat side of the needle faces the shaft
round needle
groove of needle faces away from the shaft

Correct needle insertion is mandatory for proper use
Raise the needle bar to the highest point, then loosen the clamp screw to remove the needle.
Place the new needle in the clamp with the flat side of the needle facing the back of the machine.
If round needle--the groove in the needle faces away from the shaft
Push needle all the way up to the stop or as far as it will go.

3.possible bent needle--lay needle on flat surface & roll needle over, if the needle does not roll good -replace
4.blunt needle point--needle makes a popping sound when needle penetrates the fabric--replace needle
5.needle not all the way up in needle holder--loosen needle clamp screw & push the needle up until it stops then tighten screw
6.incorrect threading--one step missed in sequence of threading can cause machine to skip stitches
7.wrong needle in machine--check instruction manual--some machines can use a generic needle with no problem
8.size of needle & thread & the fabric are not compatable

How do you change an embellisher needle

Unlike some other machines, you do not need to replace the entire needle shank when a needle breaks. The Embellisher comes with two alan key screwdrivers for changing needles. Insert the larger screwdriver at the red marking to loosen the entire needle shank. Remove the needle shank from the Embellisher and use the smaller screwdriver to loosen and remove the needle(s) you wish to change. Replace with new needle and tighten into position with small screwdriver. Then simply replace the needle shank with the red marking facing the front (towards you).
