Xbox 360 controller, characters always walk to the left

No matter what controller I use, my game characters do the same thing...

Any game I'm playing, the left analog stick seems to keep thinking I'm pressing left on it when I let go of the stick. Sure, when I press left like I want, it does. But then it keeps GOING left after I let go. I have to tap it to the right just but a tidbit and it stops. So I figured this was the controller. Tried it with another one (BRAND NEW!) and it does the same thing!
Sure, it's not a major problem, but when I don't want to run into a giant mob of zombies, and my character continues to just stroll right in, it can be a big inconvenience.

SOURCE: Wireless controller moves on its own

try reconnecting your controller to your 360 if its wireless by holding the little button on the back next to the left bumper then hit the same button on your console bottom left of your power button if that doesnt work then your controller may be broken and you will need to buy a new one. if your controller is wired then its probably been dropped and messed up

SOURCE: Xbox 360 controller left analog stick

If you bought it brand new, contact Microsoft ASAP.

Otherwise, no luck. Just an unfortunate side affect of playing a 360.

SOURCE: Psp Analog stick malfunction

Sounds to me like the analog contacts need cleaning. I would take it to a shop or a specialist... If you have the proper tools you can do this yourself but from personal experience these can be hard to get contacts lined up correctly after taking them apart.

While playing Oblivion on my Xbox, when I enter the world, my screen turns red. The title screen and other screens are fine, but while viewing the world, just red. Thx

this is a glitch that occurs sometimes when your character takes damage and you walk through a door or something causing game to load to a new screen/area. You will have to load an earlier saved game to get rid of the annoying red ring around tv screen

Hi, My Xbox 360 controller is acting weird, but

That is an odd issue, I don't have fallout3 for the xbox, I play it on my gaming rig but I do have the wireless 360 controller for the PC. It might be that the configuration file on your saved data became corrupted or the orientation for the players dominant hand became corrupted. The preferences are stored with your saved games so you may want to see if the problem is in an older staved state. You may also wanted to check the game settings for anything like Left hand/Right hand position. I don't know how the settings are laid out since I am only familiar with the PC version. If all else fails you might have to altogether remove your saved games and restart from scratch, chances are there is some sort of data corruption.

I started up my Fable 2 game today and I can't

May have tweeked controller settign in the game by mistake. Try going to your options menu and resetting everything to default. If the problem continues it may be a bad save file.

Characters walk around in circle and move backwards .Just bought Modern warfare 2.character won't walk forward only backwards and in circles.same problem in Grand theft Auto Games. My console is xbox 360...

It sounds like you have controller issues, try using another controller and see if they still walk circles. If the joystick is not in the centre home postion when you turn on console it will read left/right/etc as the centre. Also try using a different battery in the controller, mine has the same charging issue and i found that jiggleing the plug and play cord can sometimes turn the charger cord from green(or nothing) to red. Good luck..

Character will not look up or down on xbox 360

have you tried another controller? If not it's highly possible that the contacts in the controller need cleaning and another controller would do the trick in this case.
