Live in Jamaica, friend has same model. Repairman says this washer has no lint trap so must be taken apart regularly to clean. Of course, since he did this to hers it doesn't work. I do see lint on my clothes. Is this true of the Whirlpool Ultimate Care II? Can I take it apart myself and clean it?

Yes if you are mechanically inclined and the part you want to get to is this go to www.repairclinic.com/Whirlpool-Parts?s=t-duet8300-%3d%3db5&n=4&z=100 . Only go there to see which part it is that needs to be cleaned out. This part is common for whirlpool. Good luck.

My maytag washer MVWC6ESWW1 is redepositing lint or something on to the clothes. Does it have any filters or traps I need to check?

https://www.thespruce.com/how-to-clean-a-washer-lint-trap-2147322
Washing machines vary by manufacturers and models and some don't have a lint trap. Lint pumps out of the washer with the water, during the drain and spin cycle, and goes down the drain.

Whirlpool cabrio 7.0 cu. ft. Capacity electric dryer will start, turn, and heat. It just won't dry the clothes because no exhaust out of line. The lint trap and the hose has been cleaned.

you have to clean out the dryer too, that's a gas dryer it should be taken apart and cleaned out at least once a year so you don't have a fire.you have to unplug the dryer, pull it apart and clean out the cabinet where the motor is and the gas tube, then clean out the blower wheel and the duct that the lint filter slides into,if the vent line is long stick a leaf blower into the line and blow it out.if you live in ma. and need someone to check it out peter de's appliance is a good service to call 781-438-9442

Need to locate lint trap on washer....affinity frigidare front load washer

There is no lint trap on this washer. There is a filter in the hose that goes from the tub to the pump that occasionally will get plugged with lint, but it is not designed to be regularly cleaned. During normal usage, the lint is designed to be pumped out with the water.

Smells like something is burnt but dryer works fine

You may need to clean out your lint trap. Not just the part that you pull out. I'm talking about the entire tunnel. Even though we empty the lint trap regularly there's a lot that gets left behind and over time can become a fire hazard. Your arms and hands cannot reach everywhere in there. For this you can attach an old sock or rag to a coat hanger that has been opened up. Go down in there a couple of times with it. You'll be surprised at how much stuff comes out. To further help this problem you can also pull dryer out and check that the vent hose in back is clear and free of debris. Cleaning the trap screen (the part you pull out to empty the lint) with HOT water occasionally will also clear residue that has built up from using dryer sheets. Over time that residue will make those tiny screen holes smaller & smaller & smaller. All of this can affect your dryer's performance.

I hope this info was helpful to you. Good luck!

DEIX2 does not dry - cleaned out lint trap, disassembled and removed lint from around lint trap assy., still not drying

Check the following areas thoroughly to address this issue.

1. Venting
Make sure the dryer vent hose, as well as the rest of the vent duct, is not clogged.

Unless regular maintenance is performed, chances are there is a lot of lint accumulated inside the dryer. This might affect the drying time and could be a fire hazard. Make sure to have your dryer cleaned regularly. Because this might involve taking most of the dryer apart, it is recommended to have a qualified appliance repairman perform this task.

2. Thermostat
There are a couple of cycling thermostats inside the dryer. If one of them breaks down, it might affect the dryer's performance. Replace the defective thermostat.

3. Heating element
A heating element might only be partially burned out, in which case it would still work but will take longer time to dry the clothes. Replace the element if found defective.

Frigidaire electric dryer; model # FDEB34RGS1- gets TOO hot!

I could not find the model number you listed. I also would be very concerned about over heating until we can find and locate the problem. Look inside the door and compare number with the on listed here at Fixya. Thanks, Sea Breeze

GE Adora Front Load Washing Machine Problem

I had a similar problem...with the added issue of the door not locking at all. I cleaned the filter and all is well. However, it took me hours to find the 3 screws everyone was talking about The screws are at the very bottom of the washer, under the lip, facing front. If your machine sits on a pedestal drawer like mine, they are located between the machine and the pedestal. I hope these pics save someone a little time...
