Sometimes it just takes some real elbow grease to remove those. Try two people one on each side.

CAN'T LIFT OFF SEAT OF JET3 POWER CHAIR? batteries

Richard The seat is probably rusted on the seat post It will take alot of turning and pulling upward at the same time to get it off. Try spraying a penetrant on the post just below the seat to see if that will help with the turning and pulling just keep at it. It can be a tedious task and frustrating Hope this helps

Truck lock is jammed by briefcase strap. can i get into the trunk from the back seat? such as does the back seat fold down?

I searched the owner's manual and there was no mention of folding the rear seats down. If you don't have a manual, you can get one here: http://www.extendedgmwarranty.com/owners-manual/buick/1999-Buick-Century.pdf

You can remove the seats following the instructions below from autozone.com.
Rear Seats
SEAT CUSHION

  2. Pull the tabs on the rear cushion retainers.
  3. Remove the seat cushion by lifting up and pulling out of the retainer.
  4. Installation is the reverse of the removal procedure. Make sure the retainer tabs are snapped into place. Tighten the bolts to 18 ft. lbs. (25 Nm).

SEAT BACK

How do i remove the chair. I want to change the batteries

Bob First unplug both connectors from the rear of the chair. Then on the right hand side under the seat push the small handle forward until it stops, then rotate the seat and pull up at the same time the seat should lift off the seat post. Carefully place the seat on the floor next to the base. Remove the shroud pulling upward to release the velcor fastners and voila!! the batteries. Now if the seat is hard to pull up try twisting it back and forth to help get it loose from the seat post. You might need some help in lifting because this seat and attached parts are heavy. After replacing the batteries grease the post to help getting it off easier next time. Hope this helps you

How do I remove the chair from my Pride Mobility Jet 3 power wheel chair? The manual just have one line of description! Do I need to remove the chair before getting by hands on the battery? My Jet 3 is of...

There's a lever on the side of the chair that you disengage to unlock it. First, make sure the chair is in gear and power is off, then unplug the Joystick from the base; just follow the cable coming out of the joystick to the rear of the chair where it plugs in and rock it back and forth to unplug.
Unlock the seat with the lever, and turn the seat slightly to the left or right and lift up. Usually, it will come right off. If it's been a while since it's been removed, or if a heavier person has been bouncing atop it, it may need more coaxing. Try squirting some WD-40 at the base of the seat where the pole connects and let it run down into the shaft of the pole. Wiggle seat back and forth a bit and try lifting at the same time.

Now you can access the batteries by lifting up on the corners of the cover called the shroud. These are held on by Velcro strips so just pull up and they will give way. You will see the two batteries inside. Replace them with sealed, gel-acid deep-cycle batteried, about 32-34 amp-hour rating. Fully charge for two or three hours before using. On first uses, let the batteries discharge almost to the red zone before charging overnight. After a week, they will be well broken in. Good luck.
