Sansa clip 2mg fm radio not putting out sound

Radio has worked fine up to now. No changes made, nothing dropped, etc. but now radio has quit putting out sound. Stations still show, have redone auto station, got same ones, but when tried, no sound from earphones. Get music playing fine from loaded mp3 files, so not earphones. Not sure what I can do next.

Go into the Settings menu of the Sansa, and change the region to "World" if you live outside the US, and change to "United States" if you live inside the US. Then, go back to the Radio mode and see if there is an icon that looks like a block (technically, a "Stop" sign) - if there is, press up on the clickwheel - it will get your radio off of pause mode. You radio should now work again.

Hello,
This is possible. It requires firmware upgrade to disable the FM radio. Follow the directions below link:

My sansa clip won't play the songs I loaded on!

I've had this happen a couple of times in the last 6 months. You can get it to play again by chosing the format option from the settings menu. Of course, then you've lost everything you had loaded on to it. Download your music/audio books again and they will play.

Radio won't play

1) Go into the settings menu, go to FM settings, and make sure the FM Region is set for United States. If you are outside the US, change it to "World"
2) The radio might initially be set for Pause - to test this, turn to a specific radio station that you know you get, and press up on the clickwheel. The "block" icon underneath the radio station should now change to a play arrow, if indeed it was on pause.

No sound for FM radio mode

The radio is weak on this device - try different areas of the house, and see if you can get reception on one good station. I have heard that the Sansa e200 series had the radio function ruined by a firmware upgrade, but it wouldn't apply to the Sansa Clip. As a last resort, you can reset all of your settings within the player itself- the user manual will show you how to do this.
