My HTC Touch Pro turns off completely somewhere between 1:00 am and 5:30 am. When I wake up and try to turn it on with the power button it won't go on and I have to press the soft reset button. At first I thought the battery was draining completely during the night, but after the reset there is at least a 50% charge left.
I think I have found out the way to solve this problem! I think! Ok on my phone I changed the power settings. Go to settings>all settings(if on touch flo)>system tab>power>advanced tab> then uncheck the two boxes that says "turn off device if not used for". Hopefully this works because I don't want to trade in my htc for another phone. Try it out and let me know if this works for you or not.

the exact same thing happened to me this morning. My phone is 5 days old.
Two days back i purchased HCT Touch Pro, but after charging for one hour, it is getting switched off for every half-an-hour, i don't know why. Really, it is annoying me very much.
