Over the years I've accumulated cooking stains on my stainless steel range top. Is there an ez answer to returning the top to "clean"? At this point I would never recommend stainless steel for any appliance, especially a range top. Thanks for any suggestions you might have. PS: Would steam take off these kinds of stains?
The only way to clean it is with steel wool. I use 2 different grades, but finish with a fine grit-0000. You still can't get it completely clean, no matter what you do. Forget it looking new. It's not real stainless steel if it's model FEF455BBA. I won't EVER buy this sort of top again either. I have had numerous problems with it, including since it conducts heat and doesn't shield wiring from the heat generated by the eyes, it is constantly melting out the plug-in elements for the eyes. I am surprised it hasn't been recalled. I am surprised more people haven't had fires!
Try using stainless steel magic we use it here it works good
