Some thing has broken in the unit! Switch speakers around to make sure its not a blown speaker! If its not the speaker then your right channel control will need replaced!

is it a humming noise, or a high pitch noise, and is coming from the speakers or the receiver?

If you are getting a very scratchy sound out of your speakers they may be broken. You can get replacements for somewhat cheap online and replace them yourself or hire a local tech to do it. The job should take no more than 1 hour labor.

I think its the flyback and its starting to leak. this is a component responsible for the high voltage of your tv set. always observe safety in dealing with this. Have it check by a qualified technician. Good luck!
