Review images in camera not working

When I take a picture, then I want to review it, by pressing the button with the "play" symbol / star, don't show anything. I've reseted the camera to factory settings and also formatted the xD card (2gb) and other of 1gb by the camera menu and still nothing. All the rest of buttons are working fine. And the camera have the normal utilization, even in the water. Any ideas? Thanks

SOURCE: Olympus 2G xd M card with pictures - error message "clean card" or format

Just had the same issue today. The Olympus Helpdesk told me that the fact I had printed one of the picture from the Xd card in directly inserting the card in the printer slot for Xd created the problem....
The guy from the Helpdesk strongly recommended to transfer the pictures from the camera to the computer exclusively using the USB cable of the camera.
In the end I have saved all my 505 pictures in using the Smart Recovery from PC Inspector but why the hell this problem only happens with Xd cards?

SOURCE: My new memory card will not work for the Olympus Camedia D-560

The problem is that the largest xD card that your camera can support is an M or H 512mb card. The 1gb card is not compatible. The firmware in the camera cannot support memory storage with that capacity. The camera came out before those cards did and there no plans to upgrade the camera to allow those types of cards to be supported.

SOURCE: two buttons flash and nothing comes up; screen is blank

The problem you are describing is a problem with battery connectivity in the camera. Following are the instructions to send your camera to Olympus for service.

http://olympusamerica.com/cpg_section/cpg_servicerepair.asp

Olympus will charge a flat rate repair fee for this product if beyond the one year factory warranty or the warranty is voided. The cost is $51 plus your local sales tax. This covers parts and labor, factory cleaning and diagnostic check, 6 month warranty and the cost of shipping the product back to you is all included in that price.

I have the same problem. Have you come across a solution? It's definately my lens and not my battery. Where did you go to get the lens looked at and repaired?

How do you transfer photos on a kodak m863 from internal memory to an sd card?

Insert a SD memory card. Set the camera's image storage location to "internal memory". Press the Review button, then press the Menu button. Use up/down to highlight "Copy" then press OK. Select an option and press OK.

To set the camera's image storage location, press the Menu button then use up/down to select "Image Storage." Don't forget to change it back when done.

Hope this helps.

When I take a picture it goes to internal memory and not to my sd card. What is wrong?

First, make sure you're using a supported card. The C340 works with MMC and SD cards. If your card is larger than 2GB then it's actually an SDHC card and won't work.

If you do have a supported card, make sure the image storage location is set to Auto. In the Review mode, press the Menu button then select Image Storage (camera and memory card symbol).

I'm suddenly having an issue w/ my new D3000. When shooting, the image doesn't show on the screen. It does appear after shooting for review, but when taking the photo, the screen is black/grey. I haven't...

If you've really been seeing the image before taking the shot, then there was something seriously wrong with your camera which now appears to have fixed itself. The D3000 doesn't have the LiveView feature. The screen is for the menu and reviewing images you've already taken.

Lcd screen not showing any image

Can you use the LCD screen to review photos by pressing the play button on the left?

If you can then getting the image to be viewed after it is takencan be fixed by a simple setting.

I have an XTi so yours should be almost identical:

Press the "Menu" button.
Press the button on the right side of the circle to move to the playback menu (looks like a play button)
Press down to "review time"
Press the "set" button (in the center of the circle)
choose an amount of time or hold (too keep it on the screen until you take the next picture) if you wish.
Press the "set" button
Press the "menu" button to exit the menu and that should fixya.

Can't turn off/disable optimize image screen- nikon d80

Ok, all you need to do is:

1.Hold the camera normally like you would take a picture.

2.Turn it on and review a picture.

3. While looking at a picture, take your index (pointer) finger and rotate the front "wheel" right under the shutter release button. This switches the viewing mode, and should solve your problem.
