FOLLOW this steps and fix it. God bless you

Perform some basic troubleshooting steps that apply to all TVs. These include checking the "Mute" button to see if it has been pressed, examining the L/R balance to ensure sound is coming from both speakers and checking the cable connections to auxiliary components such as the stereo system (which controls external speakers).

    • 2
Double-check the audio output jacks if you are using an S-video connection (a single round perforated jack) or component video connection (a trio of green, blue and red jacks). Those jacks only run the video signal to the RCA TV. In order to get an audio signal, you'll need to connect red and white RCA cables to their respective jacks on the TV.

    3 Check the back of the TV for a switch labeled "Int/Ext." It controls the sound input on some RCA TVs. If you don't have any separate speakers, the switch should be set to "Int."
      • 4
    Activate the sound set-up feature by pushing the "Menu" button and scrolling to the sound bar. (This option can usually be found only on RCA flat-screen and projection screen TVs.) The sound bar allows you to set the sound from mono to stereo, activate the surround sound features, adjust the sound for headphone use, set volume levels and activate preset sound levels for movies, sports, concerts, video games and other specific sorts of programming. If any of these settings don't match the configuration of your home theater system, it may cause problems with the sound. If you're confused about the options, select any settings that read "Normal" or "Automatic." That should set the RCA TV to factory standard audio settings.

    Press the "Menu" button and scroll to the "Set-Up" option, then go to "Preferences." You'll see a bar on the menu marked "Maximum Volume." You can use that to limit how loud the TV can get, which can cause problems if you don't know it's been set. Move the arrow on the bar to reset the maximum volume, then hold down the "OK" button on the remote to hear what that volume sounds like. You can then listen to the TV as normal.

    Exactly one day after warranty expired no picture could this be the video card failed ? if so can I replace it

    Is your television turning on? If not, try to plug it into another outlet to see if it does. If not, thats the power supply (unless you tripped a breaker of course). If there is neither sound nor a picture (try to see if you can see the channel change) even after trying another outlet. This is a power issue with the television itself.

    If you can hear sound but still no picture, take out the video card and unplug the tv. Wait about 2 minutes then plug in the tv and put the card back in.

    If it is turning on. Try to connect another device such as a dvd, vcr, speakers, etc. (make sure your on the proper input). You can locate the input by where you plug it in on the tv as it is labeled. If this does work, you will need to replace your video card.

    Sound but no picture [WINDOW7}

    It is either a bad video driver or a bad video card. Sound has nothing to do with your video. Since a computer has a "sound card" and a driver for the sound card. I would reinstall your video driver. If you have access to another you can install the card there to see if you still have the same problem after you do a re-install of the "video driver". This should fix your problem. :)

    How can i watch movies from computer to my tv

    You probably need to get a composite video output card for your computer. Actually, I've seen many cards that have both a composite video output AND a DVI output port on 1 card. The DVI output will give you a noticeably sharper picture than composite video, but you need to check if your TV has a DVI or HDMI input. (If it was manufactured after 2000, it probably does.) If you TV was manufactured after 2006, it probably has 1 or more HDMI inputs instead of DVI. You can buy a DVI to HDMI converter cable. That takes care of the picture; to get sound to the TV, you will need to connect separate sound cables to your TV. Your computer needs to have a line-level output jack on it's sound card, and you will need to get an adapter cable (from Radio Shack) to convert the stereo mini-plug to 2 RCA type plugs to plug into your TV. And that should do it!
