Installing a frarview moniter

I need some help! I am installing a rearview LCD monitor mirror in my 2005 Honda accord coup. I have completed almost everything but acquiring the power source for the actual mirror. I was able to remove the housing for the dome lights, which Honda nicknamed the "spotlights" and gain access to the power sources. There are two "plugs" that power the lights one is green with four wires, none red and black, and another which is beige that has two wires (one green and one white with a back line on it). I am attempting to tap into one of these power sources. I do not know which one I need to use and which wire corresponds to the red and black wires coming from my 12v mirror. I don't need to worry about the unit receiving continues power, it only powered on when the camera is receiving power, when the car is I reverse. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks

SOURCE: Honda S2000 engine installed in kit car. How do I wire alternator

Unfortunately the Honda alternator is regulated by the ECU, which allows the ECU to intelligently reduce alternator engine loading to improve fuel consumption. The intelligent system uses an electrical load detector (ELD) located near the battery to control the alternator output voltage. A two wire alternator has an inbuilt regulator that will always generate the required charging voltage. When a battery is fully charged and the electrical loading is low there is no need for generating the charging voltage, in this situation the honda alternator will reduce the output voltage to reduce engine loading, hence improved fuel economy.

The interior rear view mirror has temperature and compass displays, but only work for a short time at start- up.I have tried unplugging the harness on the back of the mirror and cleaning contacts. It`s...

Temperature Display
The inside rearview mirror supplies a 5 volt signal circuit and low reference circuit to the ambient air temperature sensor. The inside rearview mirror monitors and records the voltage on the signal circuit of the ambient air temperature sensor. The inside rearview mirror uses this recorded voltage to display the temperature on the temperature display portion of the compass/temperature display. The temperature display will show "ICE" when the ignition is first turned on and the current temperature is 3Ā°C (37Ā°F) or below. The display will toggle between "ICE" and the actual outside temperature for approximately 4 minutes.
The mirror will display "OC" if the mirror senses a temperature of less than -40Ā°C (-40Ā°F).
the mirror will display a "SC" if the mirror senses a temperature of greater than 112Ā°C (143Ā°F).

Replace the inside rearview mirror with compass. Refer to Inside Rearview Mirror Replacement .

How do I attach a review mirror for a 1994 thunderbird lx

Go to an auto parts store and buy rearview mirror adhesive. Your rearview mirror will separate from the small mounting piece that adheres to the windshield. Clean off the glass where it will sit. Follow the directions on the adhesive package and install the mount on the windshield. Once it dries, install the mirror on the mount. Rearview mirror adhesive is one of the most powerful adhesives on the market. Don't use anything but rearview mirror adhesive or the mirror will not hold.

Side View Mirror Installation instructions needed

For a 2005 Honda Pilot, I am a complete Amateur and I had no problem installing this mirror.

1) Lower the window, and only remove the Interior MIRROR panel, NOT the entire DOOR Panel, as some sites my recommend.
2) Once the Interior Panel is removed, the power cable is attached to the mirror, remove this cable.
3) There are 3 Bolts that are BLACK (atleast in my vehicle) that need to be removed.
3) Once the bolts are removed, the mirror should come off easily.
4) Place the new mirror in place of the old one and secure all three bolts, and then secure the power cable.
5) Then place the interior panel back.

That is it!

2005 accord hybrid blinker door mirror

Dear ejustin

Unfortunately you have too release the door panel to carry out this simple replacement.
remove screw from behind small panel inside door release handle (small screwdriver ti flip out little cover)

Remove two screws from inside door puller (one you use to close door) these are also under a small panel you remove this also with small screwdriver.

Then you will have to pull door penal away from the fixings usually done with a special tool but is quite poss-able with fingers.

Do not use a screwdriver you will just cause damage and break fixing clips.

Take care as their are wires feeding other equipment you do not need to remove panel completely.

Release cable to mirror

Remove three nuts holding mirror to door these are behind plastic quarter panel.

Repeat process to put on new mirror 20 minutes max.

Cheers

Custom Rear view mirror

Hiya...ALL factory-installed rearview mirrors are installed with different wires due to options.
About 6 different rearview mirrors are installed with those options such as On-Star, light, compass, and those features which use different wires....THIS CANNOT be modified with different rearview mirror....**for example, the Equinox owner attempt to pull out a factory-installed base rearview mirror and put in different one that has compass/temperature built into the rearview mirror**

However, the wires are located inside the front headliner which requires removing the sunvisor (and possible removal of interior plastic trim part at the left/right ends of the windshield) prior to pull the headliner down, and a small metal philips or torx screw is used to secure the rearview mirror onto the bracket glued to the windshield.

The best solution is to leave the original factory-installed rearview mirror in place.
