How to take a ps3 slim CECH-4002C apart?

Switch off the console. Press and hold the power button until you hear another one beep. This will reset your video settings. If this not help you, check your cables. Otherwise you have a hardware problem with your console.

The issue with two discs in the tray sounds a little people peculiar and hopefully didn't damage the drive. It could be theYLOD (Yellow Light of Death) in which when you power the console on, it will be solid, then blink, then solid again.

Make sure your HDMI, Composite, or RCA cable is secure. Try different cable types just in case.

You can shipped the system back to Sony and they can exchange it for a refurbished system; check out YouTube videos for some fixes, or look for someone who fixes ps3s on Craigslist

The system may have been connected with a different video type. Like hdmi, or rca. If you hold down the power button for ten seconds or so, until it beeps a few times, then let it start up, it should fix itself.

if you are getting no LED and no error code on the screen, the power supply may be bad

Not a do it yourself job unless you know what you are doing--places that fix these will take unit apart and safely remove the disc and look for a issue.

Follow the below procedures if the hard disk of your PS3 is defective;

Put your PS3 in Standby Mode. The first thing your going to want to know is your model number. It can be found on the back panel of the PS3 on the serial number label, and it will begin with CECH. Example - Serial: XXXXXXXXXXXX-CECHXXX -

For models: CECHA01, BO1, E01, E01MG, G01, H01, H01MG, K01, LO1, AND P01, it will have a power switch on the back. Flip it off then back on and you will have a solid red indicator light on the front.

For models: CECH-2001A and 2001B, press the power button on the front until the indicator light turns red. If all else fails unplug the power cord and plug it back

Time to enter Safe Mode. Press and hold your finger over the power button on the front until you hear three beeps and the indicator light goes back to red. Then release the button. (The second you touch it you will hear a beep, that's the first beep. Five seconds later a second beep, another five seconds the third and final beep will sound then the indicator light will return to red.)

Press and hold your finger over the power button again until you hear a quick double beep. The release the button. (The second you touch it you will hear a beep, that's the first beep. Five seconds later a second beep, another five seconds you will hear the double beep.)

You will then see this screen. "Connect the controller with the USB cable, then press the PS button".

Connect the USB cable to the USB port on the front of your PS3 and the top of your game controller, (between the left and right bumpers). Then Press the PS button in the center of the controller.

Select option number 5. (Restore PS3 System). Then select yes to perform step. You will then see this screen. "The hard disk's file system is corrupt and will be restored.

The PS3 will then restart. You will see many different languages, all that is is saying is, "Connect the controller with the USB cable, then press the PS button". Press the PS button and set your settings when it finishes it will start up and its fixed!

He is full of **** trying to scam you. It sounds like your disc drive is out of alignment with the top part of the disc drive so the clicking your hearing is the bottom of your disc drive trying to eject and the top is holding its on as the top has sliding parts that meet perfectly with the bottom part of the disc drive so it sucks the game in and out. You need to open it yourself with a philips head screwdriver you dont have to worry about the motherboard or any other part just take the drive out undo the ribbons connect the drive to the motherboard then it should pop right out. Been awhile since I took a slim apart they dont break as often (yet). From here you should have a metal caseing over the disc drive maybe not with the slim. You pop the metal caseing off the you have a plastic disc drive. Take the top part off maybe requires small phillips screw driver. Since you have a disc in it when you take the lid off hook the cables back to the ps3 motherboard and to the cd drive. Now press eject with the top lid off. Then put the top lid back on and insert a disc it should work. Then just put it back together. Theres a little motherboard on that cd drive do not short it out on anything. You can do this if you cant worst is youll have to buy a new cd drive from the repair shop you mentioned. Then they should charge to much labor to put it back together as you had it apart when you got there. conect your ps3 with hdmi to TV then put your TV on hdmi by its remote controler, ps3 is still turned of. Then press switch of/on ps3 buton and hold it for 5 - 7 second cca., You will hear a double beep sound and after that you can turn your ps3 on. Then just follove the instructions.
