Uninstall the driver and device. Reboot the computer and allow Windows 7 to detect, install the sound card and allow the native driver to install.

the reason is that the card was sold before windows 7 was announced, and Windows 7 CD doesn't have the driver for this card. you have to go to the creative web site to search for the windows 7 driver for this card. if there is no exact driver, search for something similar. I have done this for my creative card, forget the model #. I can check it for you later... good luck,

Try to reinsert the microphone. Was it working b4 u have installed drivers. The drivers tat u installed should b compatible to ur motherboard.
Check the audio driver connection inside ur cabinet (front panel)
If u use audio splitter, sometimes the microphone may not work

go to there web site for a driver. might find drivers under the support tab.
