Main Chassis bar won't lock on one side

Hi, when we try and lock the handle in position, one side of it won't lock while the other will. Something inside the main bar seems to be broken. any advice?

We also have the same problem of one side of the main chassis bar not locking (the left side)...we can't use the stroller as we have no leverage to go up bumps or curbs and the handle bar feels very loose and has a lot of give.

We had a similar problem, the right-hand hinge of the frame would not lock and the button was permanently down. What had happened was the handle extension switch housing had come unscrewed and slipped up the frame, causing a small spring to fall out. The lock switches each have a spring which pushes down on a rod inside the frame to lock the hinge. To access the spring, unscrew the handle extension housing and slide it up the aluminum frame. I replaced the missing spring and the frame works perfectly. If the problem is with the spring, this should work. Alternatively the problem may lie inside the lock switch housing, which contains a very simple mechanism which slides the lock rod up and down. This can be unscrewed as well. As far as I can tell, the actual hinge assembly itself is a sealed unit and can't be opened, but hopefully, you won't have to.
Good luck,
Ben

The locking mechanism is rather week and is easy to break. The whole outer ring fixed to the handle needs replacing which is easy enough to do but getting the part is much more difficult. I'll post more info if I get the part. Bugaboo at present say they only supply the whole chassis!

Hi to all in need of the spare part to fix this problem for good. Friends of mine have also suffered with issue and i have replicated the part that brakes in a high quality 5 series aluminuim and removed the basic stress points that the original design had. I have posted a link to ebay where i am now currently selling this successful replacement/upgrade.
Regards, Mat.

Problem suggests that you have not followed the user handling procedures correctly and hence damaged the handle lock. Now examine the handle lock on the equipment on the left and right side to compare and identify the damage. If you have identified then check whether this damaged part is fastened to the equipment as a sub part if yes then use proper tools to extract the damaged part and carry it to the store. Pick up the damaged part from the store and replace it your self .Please carry out the safe operation check of the equipment prior to re-using. If you are not able to identify the damaged part then consult the sevice engineer. Use of the equipment without handle lock defect fix is not recommended for you.

My silver cross surf chassis won't lock on one side. And handle height can only be adjusted manually. What should I do?

Hi Kerry, the handle bar's cable broke, which can be replaced. that could also be the reason for the failure in the locking mechanism.

How do you fold bebecar rversus pram?

To fold a Rversus chassis, first make sure that the front wheels are locked into fixed/non-swivel mode. In the middle, between the handlebars, is a primary lock handle with a red button. Press the red button and simultaneously lift the handle. On the left-hand handlebar is a lever or tab which operates the secondary lock. Pull upwards on this lever. Finally, with the primary lock handle still raised, simultaneously pull upwards on the primary lock handle and push downwards on the main handle until the chassis locks into the folded position. Full operating instructions for the Rversus, with diagrams, can be obtained from [email protected]

How do i fold a bebecar stylo pram

First, make sure that the adjustable-height handle is in one of the middle positions. Find the twist-grip in the middle of the handle, press the button and turn the collar in the direction of the arrow. The chassis should start to close. Next, find the secondary lock, on the right hand side, and press down on that and lift the handle bar. Keep pushing the handle forward until the chassis is fully folded.

Dont know how to close bebecar multipla sport

To fold a Multipla chassis, you must first lock the swivel wheels in the non-steering mode and ensure that the adjustable handle is in one of the middle positions. To fold it, firstly press the red button and simultaneously, turn the handle collar, in the middle of the handle bar, in the direction of the "FOLD" arrow, and the chair will begin to close. Next, operate the secondary safety device by pulling upwards the plastic tab situated on the right hand side. Tilt the chair forward and continue the folding action until the chassis is fully closed. If you want to store the pushchair, fold the adjustable handle down. Find out more by asking [email protected] for a user-guide.

I cannot collapse my Babystyle Twister Xts Stroller pushchair

Hi,

If my memory is correct, you need to grip the levers either side of the hood (these are on the lower part of the handle bar and sometimes are a little hidden by the hood fabric) and then lower the handle bar toward to the floor, this should fold the pushchair down. Some models in certain countries had a secdary lock located about half way down the chassis on the left hand side that needs to be opened also.
Hope that helps.

How to fold the buggy

To fold the buggy, it is necessary to operate both a primary lock, and then a secondary lock. Start by making sure that the front swivel wheel is locked. Operate the primary locking device by pulling upwards on both of the plastic tabs located on the side of the handle arm just below the foam handle grip. Begin pressing downwards so that the pushchair begins to fold. Next, release the secondary locking device (raising the bar located lower down on the left-hand side) and continuing pressing downwards on the handle bar until the pushchair is fully folded. The handle bar can then be folded inwards to the maximum, by pressing simultaneously on the adjuster buttons on either side. Finally, with the chassis laid down, lock it into its folded position by closing the folding latch operated on the side.
Operating instructions, with diagrams, may be obtained from [email protected]
I hope that this is helpful. Do leave some feedback, so that we know how you got on!

Hi,

You can purchase a new handle from the suppliers or the retailier where you purchased the pram as this is much cheaper.

Hope this helps.

How do i lock the stroller when closed/collapsed. because if you pull on the handle bar the stroller opens without warning

Hi,

It will depend on which model you have. If you have the older version, then there will be a nylon strap (usually found around the bag at the back of the chassis) this strap has a black plastic snap lock on that will go around the handle bar when closed and keep it closed.
If you have the newer version, this will automatically lock shut via a grey plastic clip on the side of the chassis.

I hope this helps.

Opening from folded position

i also found this annoying, the tracker chassis is similar to the ip-op chassis, which you can find instructions for online.
however when the chassis is folded, you first have to adjust the handle, to do this you push in the round black buttons either side of the handle, make sure the handle is in a strait line with the rest of the chassis. also check that the front wheels are in NON steering mode by pushing in the red button on the left hand side of the chassis.
once this is ok, you go back to the handle and push in the red button in the middle of the handle that confusingly says fold, as you push the button in, twist the black fold casing downwards, put your foot on the bottom crossbar and pull the handle towrds you. the chassis should start unfolding keep pulling the handle and pushing the bottom cross bar with your foot until the chassis clicks and locks on both sides.
da dah!!!!! there you go. now wait till want to fold it again bloody thing is a nightmare without instructions.

Chassis won't lock into position

Don't worry, this is normal. once you lock the seat into place, the front bar stays put, even if you hop a curb.
