Why won't new screen come on when powered uo?

I can only guess from your question, but I think that your previous monitor had settings that the new one does not support.
  • Try to connect older one to the computer and lower the resolution and Frequency rate of the monitor from its properties menu like on the picture.

11_30_2011_11_08_47_am.jpg
  • After that connect the new monitor. This should do the trick if the problem is in the unsupported settings.
If you can't see the initial bootup screen, then probably the problem is in your cable or video card. This usually can happen when using DVI output.

When i turn the page on the sony ready touch I can still see the last page under the next page. Has this happened to anyone else?

Hi patsyhodgins!

At certain point this "goshting" you see its normal operation because of the type of screen (E-Ink) but if you get words mixed or its too difficul to read, you can try a reset:

Note: This will not affect your ebooks:

1. Disconnect the reader from the computer
2. Power off you reader
3. Hit the reset at the bottom for 3 seconds
4. Power on you reader
5. The screen will blink and will display "Opening Book", let the reader load your books

See if the problem persist, if so, you can try a hard reset, make sure the reader is fully charged.

Note: This will delete all content from you reader, I recommend you to back uo your data before proceed:

1. Power off the Reader.
2. Press the RESET button.
3. Power ON the Reader.
4. When the screen shows "Opening book..." , press and hold at the same time the "Page Back" button and the Volume + at the bottom until the "Reset All" appears on the screen

If none of the steps above work, then contact Sony to get the screen repaired.

GoodLuck!

I have a ibm thnik center ddp 3.7 s\n lkgwf3b and

If you mean that your computer has no display or just a blank screen..Probably there is something wrong with your computer. Try to check all the connections of your computer, especially the power cord of your monitor and display connection from the back of the computer to your monitor and also the power cord of your power supply be sure that it is plug correctly. But if this solution will not work, open your computer and then remove the memory stick and clean the pins of it by using an eraser of a pencil and then put it back. Hope this could help you.. Thanks

BLANK SCREEN (BOTH)

You must take your DS to a repair technician to fix it as it would be many things causing the flash on/off cycle.
If you know how to repair electronic devices then check damaged top screen, loosen L2, or blown F1 and/or F2. Or maybe water damage is your problem.
