Yes, your batteries are trashed. You need to replace them. Or take them off the chair and put them on a car charger, slow charge. They need to be up over 24VDC. If they fall under 24VDC the charger won`t recognize them and won`t charge.

I have a 24v Razor Quad. It has new batteries wired correctly, new throttle, new controller module. It turns on, but yellow light shows low power, then goes off no power to motor. What can I do next?

Question edited for clarity.

Hello again Cindy, I gave you all the information on this a few days back. You need a competently inclined person with a multimeter. The circuit is simple. You have two 12 volts batteries in series which makes 24 volts. You have a hand controller which is a variable potentiometer like a volume control, which feeds voltage to the motors. The controller module tells you the battery voltage level and probably has a couple of relays. Check the battery wiring again, you should have a wire coming in to the plus on battery 1 and the negative on battery 1 should go to the plus on battery 2. The negative wire from battery 2 completes the circuit out. Do you know your charger works? That can be checked with a meter as well.

Get out your multimeter and check the TOTAL voltage plus on battery 1 to the negative on battery 2. You should have 24 volts, 2 x 12 volt batteries in series. Take them both off and charge each one on a car charger set at 2 amps for about 4 hours each battery. Clean all the battery connectors with a wire brush and also the connectors. Smear them with Vaseline. Also make sure you have the batteries wired up correctly. If done incorrectly, you may be running on 12 volts which is why is is showing 'Low Voltage'!

2004 Chevy tracker...it shows charging 13.4 but when driving the baytery goes dead..replaced everything ..except wiring...loses battery power.after ,30 min of driving..

If there is 13.4 volts at the battery terminals the charging system is ok , The batter may have a fault when it warms up , is there any voltage across the battery terminals when this happens ?.

I Have A 2006 Dodge Magnum And I Do Not Have A Check Engine Light On But I Have A Red Lightning Bolt On The Dash And I Lose Power Driving. What’s The Problem?

The red lightning bolt usually indicates a charging issue. When you say it loses power... do you mean the battery goes dead. If so, check the charge rate with a volt meter at idle. Should be 14.2 volts to 14.6 volts.
Note: Have it scanned if determined a charge issue. It may be a failing computer, and not the alternator.

Razor Scooter ground fOrce go cart wont go

The E100 is a Kick Start scooter, the Rear Wheel has to be Spun for it to start. This scooter will not start from a motionless position.

Could be the battery.
Put the Scooter on a block so the rear tire is raised. Remove the standing plate to reveal the battery compartment.
Charge the Unit completely

1. Using a multimeter measure the voltage across the batteries. If the voltage is below 20 volts batteries are dead - Replace batteries.
2. Now for a running test. Turn the throttle and spin the rear tire to preform a kick start. Still measuring the voltage. If the voltage is Below 20 volts or if the voltage drops quickly batteries are dead - Replace batteries.
3. If the voltage is remaining around 24 volts for a long period - then you could have connector problems, clean and tighten all connectors.
I use a fiberglass electronic cleaning brush, as contact cleaners leave residue that interfere with electrical connections.

The control module is simple and can be replaced with only a 24 volt relay without the kick start feature or Brake. If you want the brake then you can use two 24 volt relays still no Kick Start.

For those of you who know electrical, below is circuits I developed to replace the controller. This diagram will also give you a better understanding on the Razor circuit.

NOTE : This is not a schematic diagram of the Razor E100 Control Module. I designed this circuit. for my Great Nephew's Scooter.

1. The Brake is a normally closed switch that opens when you squeeze the Brake handle.
2. The throttle is two normally open switches that close when you turn the throttle.
3. The Kick Start circuit is described in the Diagram below.
4. The resistors values may need to be tweaked for best performance.

Shop rider sovereign voltage indication. Brand new fully charged

hi Richard,

Does the scooter actually lose power after the 3 leds show ?

If it is losing power then a suggest to try some other batteries to confirm dodgy batteries, check the terminal connections etc.

If it does not lose power then the volt meter is at fault, if you can check the voltage before riding then after it shows only 3 leds , if there is a big drop, check the charger first to make sure the batteries are getting fully charged.

My chair wont charge in either of the charging ports

It's either a dead charger or dead battery(ies). You will need a voltage tester meter to check. First check the charger by setting your meter to a setting over 24 volts (your chair is a 24 volt system). Test the voltage at the charging port by placing the two probes into the two outside ports (there's three ports in a triangle...test the two opposite ports.) You should get a reading in excess of 24 volts but less than 26. Now plug the charger into one of the ports and check the voltage again. If the voltage is now higher than the first reading, your charger is working and you will need to replace the batteries, if it is the same, your charger is bad.

I need a schematic for the x-treme scooter

Check the batteries, they need at least 12+volts to run scooter. Blinker may be burned out or the wire came loose. If batteries are charged Two things That could be wrong are: Twist throttle is NO Good, Or the controller is BAD. You need a voltage tester, (Disconnect the Wiring Harnesses) and check voltages coming out of the controller(the silver BOX with lots of wires) and see if it is sending voltage to the twist throttle. Controller wires to the Twist throttle should read 4-5 volts.

(Make Sure You Unplugged That Wiring Harness) There is 4-6 wires in that Wiring Harness then find + and - test them for voltage from that Controller box wiring harness. If You get a positive reading out of that Controller wiring harness then the Twist Throttle thing is bad. If you get NO READING out of that Controller Wiring Harness Then if is BAD. Normally it will be the dead batteries or the Twist Throttle that go bad. Batteries are expensive, Twist Throttle Cheap. Good LUCK
