Make sure the SIM card can be used with the new phone. Some are not compatible. If you have this problem, copy the contents of the SIM on a PC or Tablet and then copy the file to the new SIM. Hope all comes out ok.

Are you sure you unlocked it correctly? Try it again to see if the process completed correctly. It sounds like it isn't fully unlocked.

You need to activate your SIM card. If you got a new phone, and you waited to activate it, which is 4 hours at most usually, the SIM card could take up to 24 hours to activate. But if you want it now, then contact your phone provider, and give them the number from the back of your SIM card. This should fix your problem.

If you are trying to use a sim card from another carrier, it will not work. You need to purchase a sim card for that Galaxy 5

i had the same problem with my phone. sim not provisioned 2 means you need to ring orange. or you can do it online. means you need to register the sim with orange. choose an animal package register the sim and your away. hope this solves ur problem mate

Your sim card is inactive. You just need to put your active sim card in the phone or have it replaced at an ATT store.

make sure that its in correctly and wipe of the golden contacts off the sim and on the phone, if it still doesnt work you may need a new sim card

you dont have to buy new sim...go to your nearest service senter. hardware failure.... sim sockets or sim ic... thats the problem...
