I have a new TXSR705. I received it yesterday. After hooking up all the components I cannot keep the receiver running. It will run for awhile and click off. Hi Vinoth, if this has not been resolved I would advise you to disconnect the unit from the AC Outlet for at least an hour and then see if it is out of Protect Mode, Thanks, JT
Sounds like it is failing its self test so it won't try to power anything. First step would be to disconnect the speakers, turn the volume control all the way down, then power it up. If it comes up OK, then you've got a wiring issue or a short in one of the speakers. If it still doesn't come up OK, then there is an internal issue in the circuitry - most likely the power amp, any you'll need professional repair help.
Hold the VCR/DVR button in and press the ON/OFF Standby button. The display should briefly read CLEAR and then the unit switches off. If that clears protect mode, you'll need to redo the Audyssey and configuration setup as these will have been cleared by the reset.
