We purchased a battery operated truck for our grandson 2 yrs ago, since have lost the 9.6 volt battery charger to recharge his battery to run his truck, where can we purchase a new one? thanks

Re: lost the 9.6 v battery charger for the remote control...
I would try a Radio Shack dealer if you have one near you, as long as the electric rating is exactly the same as is the plug connection it should work fine.

First you could contact Kid Galaxy directly to see if they supply spares. Another method is to take the details marked on the battery pack to a electrical parts supplier. On the battery there will be a label showing an "Input" voltage for both AC and DC as well as an amp rating for each of these.
The charger you need should have this matching information for the "OUTPUT" labelled on the charger. Does this toy have a built in battery or one you remove to charge?
Haven't been able to locate a user guide for the multi-unit charger. However, it is pretty much plug-in-n-play. It can charge a battery inside a radio, or also accommodate a battery alone in each of 6 cups. As for replacement parts, they are not available, and you cannot purchase the multi-unit tray separate from the power supply. This is a slow rate charger and would take 10 hours to charge your batteries (or overnight). Radios/batteries should only be placed on the charger when nearly depleted. (Consider your charge a place your radios go to bed overnight.)
If you are having difficulty with charging, clean your battery contacts on the exterior of the radio and inside the charger cups with a pencil eraser.
check for 16:9 button (remote control). Check for new remote on electronics shop . (need to see on label behind tv set for complete model). or send to electronics repair store for check up.
I'm sorry to hear of your problem concerning the missing battery for your grandson's remote control car. You have posted your problem on Fixya which is a technical support community website with the objective of helping
people find the solutions and information they're looking for as
quickly and as easily as possible. It is not affiliated with any specific retailer or manufacturer.
Nonetheless, please check the manual that came with the toy car and determine if the batteries are really included as part of the package. There should be a list somewhere listing what's supposed to be inside.
If it is really part of the package, then the store where you bought it from should take care of it, if not ask for a replacement unit. Pls bring any documentations that can help you support your claim such as a receipt or proof of purchase.
Alternately, you can try stores who specializes in remote control toys. They should have replacement batteries of various models and sizes. Additionally, (and I'm guessing) you can try ordinary batteries for one time use or Nicads if you want it rechargeable. Perhaps if you can post back with brand/model and picture of the remote control car showing where the battery should be placed would help us get more information that we might be able to help you better.
Hope that this be of some help/idea. Pls post back as requested.
