I have tried to install the SAGE instant bookkeeping program, but for some reason it doesn`t appear on my Sony Vio VGN-FS415M. There is no icon on my desktop, and through the installation process, it says preparing to OMDC and it wouldn`t go further than that, unless I turn off my computer. As soon as it prepares for shutting down it seems to complete the installation, the icon of SAGE appears on my desktop for a second than it disappears, after turning the computer back on, there is no sign of the program. Please try to help me solve this problem as I desperately need this program on my computer.

You should provide additional information about your setup. Which steps did you follow to install SageMath. Which installation of latex are you refering to? (you did install latex in the virtual box?)
BTW, is there any reason why you use virtualbox? You could give a try to the windows binaries. They are much more up to date than the virtual box.

Without more details we can't possibly know exactly what you did, how your computer is configured, or what the problem is. But usually throwing more downloads at the problem without understanding what you're doing is only likely to break more things and make the problem exponentially more difficult to untangle (for example you wrote "I reinstalled Python"; but Sage includes its own Python interpreter and should have nothing to do with other Pythons on your system). Did you install Sage using the executable installer? If so there's no need for virtualbox in the first place. And sage-8.6.tar.gz is just the source code..

This Decline Error Code 000005 indicates "Do Not Honor" message. It means that the issuing bank hasdeclined the use of authorized card due to some reasons. It can be due to insufficient funds, but that can be categorized as Sage 50 Decline Error Code000051
Press CTRL-ALT-DELETE and close any process related to this program. If you cannot determine which process is related to this program, reboot and run your program again.
It sounds like the SBD installer isn't working you need to ensure you have full administrator rights and you can run setupsbd.exe from the program directory
We got round this by installing each program on a separate partition. Use the 'Custom Install' option when you install the second program. You only need to change the first letter from 'C' to whatever the new drive letter is. Leave the rest the same.
Was getting the same error for version 12. On the cd there is a support folder. In that there is an installs folder. I installed jet, mdac and the xml parser (probably not necessary) and the next install worked OK.
Make sure there is no other user that has the program open (if it is on a network). Shutdown the computer and restart the program. Make sure you have all the Windows updates installed.
Download from the internet
Rip the install cd to a sd card and install that way
Buy an external cd rom to use for installing programs
