When the printer makes and update cancel the installation of new drivers, or cut the power when the drivers are installed. Wait 10 seconds them power up the printer.
I really need more information to better help you. Are you trying to install from a disk? If so, try downloading and installing directly from the Epson websites driver page listed below. The link is already set up for your printer. It's compatible (at least according to Epson) but can be a pain to install. Read the story of one user's frustration at the link below. He had no problem installing it wirelessly but had a lot of trouble installing it directly connected. He also apparently didn't get much help from Epson. Beware. The price may be good but how much time do you want to waste? I'd give the installation a try and if it isn't working after an hour, I'd get something easier to install. Good luck!
Below is the link to the download page containing the latest Vista drivers for your printer free of charge. 3 and 4th one down, click download and install.
Make sure all the other drivers are removed before installing the new one.
Try to cancel the document in queue first by going to control panel and printers and faxes/ other hardware. right click on the printer icon and cancel all documents up until you get 0 and ready status. Restart computer and try printing again.
