I have a light in the garage that has the switch inside the house. The switch worked for several years and when the light was on in the garage the pilot light was on at the switch. Something happened and now the light never goes on in the garage ( I have changed the bulb and made sure it was a good one) and the pilot light on the switch never goes off. Any suggestions?

Depends on whether you want the pilot to glow when the circuit is live (the main light is on) or to glow when the circuit is off. (The switch can be used either way, and I have used this switch in both configurations at different places.)
The wiring diagram is on the inside of the box.
In indicates that if you want the pilot light to glow when the circuit is off, then you only need two wires (the live and the return, usually colored black and white, respectively). However, you also need a ground. The instructions say that you need the ground for safety (and probably legal code) reasons, but I suspect that, without the ground, the pilot light won't work in this configuration.
However, if you want the pilot light to glow when the circuit is on, you probably need a three wire configuration (plus the ground).
Hope this helps.

If I understand correctly you have a circuit with 4 light switches.
None of the 4 switches work, yet all 4 test for 115Vac.
Test each screw on switch to bare ground to get reading.
This problem could be loose neutral wire inside the switch boxes or anywhere along the line, or inside breaker box. Check white wires.
All 4 switches connect back to breaker box on white neutral wire that connects to neutral busbar inside breaker box.
