Light black area that is gradually getting larger

I have a light black area at the bottom right corner of my laptop, which is slowly spreading. Is it a part that is going out or can I just buy new screen with all the parts in it. The black area does not get hot. I have an asus notenook u52F BB6S or BB65 it was rubbed off I couldn't read it well.

SOURCE: asus m6r, lid damaged, hinge , right corner, can't

I would suggest this: Look for a new cover on e-Bay. Then swap it out when you find one.
The hinges really can't be repaired.

SOURCE: Hi, The power button o n

The geek squad in best buy doesn't take apart netbooks to repair them in house they would have to send the netbook to there repair facility and you would be looking at about the same time frame that asus quoted you. Im sure there are plenty of other computer repair companies in town that could take the netbook apart and fix the power button depending on the severity. I would google them in your area and deal with one that has a store location with good online reviews. Turn around form my shop is 1-3 days that's typical for most small business computer repair shops. If they have to order a new button it could take a little longer due to shipping of the part unless the part is express or overnight shipped.

SOURCE: I have an ASUS U52F

There's a few things that could be the cause but the first thing you ALWAYS want to check on a laptop with network connection problems is that the wireless switch is in the on position. It should be located on the left side of your laptop if it's facing you. Here is a picture if you still need help to find it.an0n0mus_2.jpg

SOURCE: I need the SERVICE, not

Hi Icapelis...
Sorry...I did not come up with any service manual for your ASUS U52F-BBL5 anywhere on the net in my searches.
But I did came up with a youtube video of how to replace the lcd screen on an Asus U52f there is other videos showing how to disassemble other parts of the laptop.
Most laptops are disassembled about the same, just watch some of the videos and I am sure you will do fine. Just take your time and make sure you remember how to reassemble the laptop, write it down if necessary.
Always remove your battery before starting any repairs.
Sometimes the heating problem in laptop is dust buildup inside of the computer.
You might try to use some compressed air to blow out the dust of the laptop, You can use the kind in a can, but I perfer to use 90psi compressor air .
Just blow the air stream in the exaust first, then the intake, you will keep reversing the air flow untill all the dust is out of the computer.
Do not over spin the fan.
This may eliminate your heating problem.
Please take time to rate me

Display problem on HP AiO

I'm afraid your display has been damaged by the liquid. Just a few drops getting behind the glass are enough to loosen electrical contacts or even damage the LCD elements themselves, and once that happens it can spread from a small area to a much larger one, as you're seeing on your unit.

Sorry, but you'll need to have the display replaced (they're almost impossible to repair). The rule of thumb for cleaning all displays, from the smallest to a huge flat screen TV, is that you should never spray any liquid on them, or even use a wet cloth. Instead gently wipe them with a dry dust cloth or, if really marked up, barely dampen a soft cloth with a safe-for-screens cleaning solution and use that. Don't press hard -- certain screens can be damaged by pressure too. There are exceptions -- watches rated for underwater use come to mind -- but it's better to safe than sorry.

I pushed too ******* my screen and now have fine lines o colour and black areas gradually spreading over my screen. My laptop is an Acer Extensa 5635.

afraid you have broken the laptop screen its easilly done, they are straight forward to replace but prices are usually about 45 pounds on ebay for that model, you will have fitting on top unless fitting yourself though, if you are fitting it yourself all you need to do is remove the 4 screws from each corner of the screen and gentle remove the plastic facing around the screen, then remove the 2 screws from each side of the screen then disconnect the cable, put in new one attach cable and seal the laptop back up and that will fix your problem.

Dell Inspiron 5160 screen

The only way to fix it is to buy and install a replacement LCD.

LCD's are available for about $100 on EBay, but the you have to know the size a resolution of the screen before buying a replacement. (14.1 or 15 inch, XGA, SXGA+ or UXGA resolution)

Sony WEGA 42" LCD TV

Uh Oh! blue screen of death. Your light engine has warped a little from overheating and is distorting the picture.

My suggestion to you is to get on the phone with Sony and start complaining, then keep complaining until they agree to pay for it. Even if it is out of warranty.
You may have to get the problem diagnosed by a pro before they agree to pay for it though.
Hope ya fix it!
