You can buy a transformer which allows all 110v power tools to work from a 240v supply. You will also need to change the plug on the compressor to a yellow 110v type. You can buy transformers for around £25 and around £3 for the plug

I have bought a Braun epilator 7 , Braun type:5377 , in USA and have purchased the charger in the UK which is 100-240 v , do I still need to get a voltage converter to be able to use it in the UK ?

If the charger is 100 to 240VAC, it should work. USA use 110 volt so the charger should be OK with 240. The UK charger will probably have a UK 3 pin plug on it. If you use it in the US, you will have to change the plug again or buy an international adaptor which can be adapted to fit most outlets anywhere in the World.

Can I use my Element FLX 2611 B in Germany?

If the set is USA or north America format that is NTSC and in Europe a lot of places are PAL or Secam---means if USA NTSC set you will need a PAL/SECAM to NTSC converter--converts one signal type to another.

Only other possible issue is voltage---must be 110-120 volts AC and not 220 volts.

Hi .. am in a country that has 220V power outlets. What do I need to use my kitchen ais that has 120V, 60hz and a maximum of 330 Watts requirements?

You need a Step Down Voltage Converter (also called a Voltage Transformer)
which steps down 240, 230, 220 volts to 110 volts and
allows you to use 110 volts Devices from USA in 220 v / 230 v / 240 v Countries

Is a dtxplorer bought in the USA set for 110 volts and therefore do you need to get a converter to use it in a 220/240 volt country?

Yes, the adapter takes 120 volts... Best way might be to get a 220 to 110 trnasformer converter then you can run other stuff as well... Get one of the step down transformers in first column... the 100 watt one would be more than adequate, but for future things you might want higher rating.

Dewalt D55155-QS 220 volts can it convert to use 115 volts?

The short answer unfortunately is no. The internal motor that drives this compressor requires 220 and will not work properly with 110. Your only option would be to replace the motor with one compatible with 110. The cost of that would approximate a major portion of a replacement unit.

Sorry about the bad news.

Plugged an american computer speaker set into a uk plug and it turned off. will not turn back on. blown fuse or is entire set dead? is it possible to simply change the fuse and replace with voltage...

USA = 110 Volts AC
UK = 220 Volts AC

If there is a fuse, you will find a piece of toast in its place

How did you manage this in the first place, the plugs are dramatically different. You fix this yourself?

You might be better off with a new speaker. If the power got through, it probably smoked your transformer.
