Do you mean on the front of the picture itself, or the date/timestamp on the picture filename when you have transferred it to your PC?

I was wondering the same when I first got my EOS. Learned later that the digital pictures do not have date/time stamp on the front of the photos like film cameras' photos. Details of digital photos are stored digitally in each image file's EXIF.

If you want to print photos showing the date/time, some software including Zoombrowser EX can do that. In Zoombrowser, select the photos you want to print. In Step 2 (Printer & Layout Settings), in the bottom left, you can choose Date and/or Time and even the colour of the font.

I have changed the battery but the date and time still do not show up on the pictures

For the date and time to show up on the pictures you take, you have to enable it from under the settings menu.
If it does not display any option that is related to the display of date and time under the settings menu, then it does not support this feature.
Hope this was helpful? Please comment for more information and thank you for using fixya.

I have a Canon EOS 350D, Compact Flash card freezes my computer

Instead of connecting via the camera, just use a USB card reader and put the CF card in that.

My eos350d is not displaying image for a couple of seconds after taking a photo.

I take it you have checked the menu on the back?
3rd menu, with a blue "play" icon, change the review time from "off" to whatever setting you need.

Date on picture

With the Rebel XT this can only be done if you are printing direct to a printer. See Chapter 8 in the manual.
