Power On/Off and Key Lock/Unlock - Press the Power button located at the top right of the Sky Caddie to power on/off or to lock/unlock the keypad. Upon pressing the Power button you are prompted to choose either "Off" (Left Soft Key) to power off the device or "Lock" (Right Soft Key) to lock the keypad. To unlock the keypad, select 'Unlock" by pressing the Right Soft Key, then choose "Yes".
Remove the external key pad and press the internal keypad on the phone board directly, may be the external key pad rubber is not contacting the one on the phone board.
Or you can loose the phone, and clean the internal part of the key pad. There might be dust on it, you could also use this medium to service your phone. If it does not work after all these, then I think you have to change the key pad completely.
try powering down for 30 seconds. if that doesn't work the keypad is shorted or open. do not spray cleaner directly onto key pad when cleaning. it will short it out. rather spray cleaner onto a rag then wipe.
Does the key pad on the door light up? Are there any tears in the key pad numbers? Does the key pad lock the doors?.
There are no fuses directly for the pad.. The key pad is linked directly to the RAP. module. If the locks work from the FOB the fuses for the Module are good. Chances are the pad is no good especially if it don't light up. The RAP module is above the driver side foot well, directly above the accelerator pedal . Hope this helps.
I can't tell if you're question is accurate, are you saying that the key pad will only open the door and never closes it or that it will only do one direction then you have to use the remote? If you're saying the keypad will not close the door at all, that may be a safety issue since closing doors can potentially damage property or worse, if your saying the remote works both ways then you probably need to reset your opener and keypad. Cut the power to the opener, leave it disconnected for five minutes. Reconnect and try keypad again. If this doesn't resolve the problem them you may have a bad circuit and will have to call a pro.
