Sometimes when this happens to my PS3 or Xbox, I turn off my routers for at least 10 seconds then start back up again. Another way to rule out that it is indeed your gaming systems and not lag with your internet connection, I recommend that you run a bandwidth test from your PC first. This will give you an initial understanding of your internet performance. If your Bandwidth test returns a result of a slow connection, this will have a direct impact on your gaming experience. Try creating a new username and password. This seems to be a common issue currently and people are reporting that this has worked for them.

This means you've been signed out of the playstation network. A problem with your broadband, not your PS3. Check the connection of the ethernet cable from your router to the ps3. Then switch off at the mains both your ps3 and your router. Leave for 30 seconds then turn both back on. Wait till the blue lights on your router are all steady blue not flashing red or orange. Then turn on your PS3, go to network settings, then internet connection test. This will check your internet connection, and whether or not you're signed in to PSN, and also your internet download/upload speed.

Hi. Since you are getting a good signal in your pS2 connecting to your wireless router. Test your internet connection using this site www.speedtest.net. Your download speed should atleast 80% of the speed that you subscribed. For example, If you availed for a 5mbps connection you should be getting 4mbps or more when you test the connection.

ok, first, check your laptop to see if it is connected to the internet. If not, create a connection (go to control panel, then network connections, follow steps) then, go on your ps3 and go to settings, scroll down to network connections, then press x on internet connection settings, pess ok, choose easy, etc. as long as your pc has a connection to the internet, and you have high-speed internet (not dial-up), you will be able to go online.
