TV is connected to laptop via HDMI cable. PC recognizes TV but TV says No Signal...what is wrong? TV input is set to PC.

On most TVs, the PC input is the VGA port. Try setting the TV input to HDMI, assuming an HDMI to HDMI cable is in use. You may need to turn off both the TV and the laptop. Then turn on the TV before turning on the laptop. After the laptop is running, you may need to adjust the display settings to send the data to the TV. (For energy conservation, the laptop may not send data to external ports.) On most versions of Windows, you can find a quick Display Settings link by right clicking on the desktop somewhere without icons or running programs. Otherwise, look in the Control Panel (Windows 8 and earlier) or in Settings (Windows 10). (There are similar steps for Mac OSX and Chrome OS.)

I hope this helps.

(Note: using an HDMI to VGA cable is not generally useful. Those can work for some projectors. For a PC to TV, you'd need an HDMI to VGA (digital to analog video) converter.)

How can I connect my TV to a Dell laptop via HDMI?

if oyur LG tv has multiple HDMI ports, then you might need to choose the correct HDMI port from the 'INPUT' menu. Does the HDMI port on TV (sidepanel / back) has a sticker which denotes the number? if yes, then on tv remote, choose INPUT /SOURCE menu, it will show TV, Component, RGB, HDMI1 , HDMI2, HDM3, etc (depending your tv model, these options might vary) and choose the port number which you plugged the HDMI into. if you do not have a number on the port, then you might need to select each HDMI from "INPUT' menu and wait for a couple of seconds.

How do I hook-up Netflix through a Sony Blu-Ray player and a LG television

If your Sony Blu-Ray player and LG TV are recent models, each should have an HDMI cable connection. HDMI is an method to connect your digital video and audio devices with just a single combined cable. In the case of your LG TV, using an HDMI cable will allow you to send the HD video signal to your TV's screen, and allow you to hear the sound through the TV's speakers.
Your LG TV may have multiple HDMI connectors, to allow other devices to send signals to your TV, such as a cable box or satellite box or digital video recorder (DVR). Your Sony Blu-Ray player will usually have just a single HDMI connector.
Purchase an HDMI cable from your local electronics store. There are different versions of the HDMI specification, and you should get a cable that you can verify is certified for the HDMI version 1.4 specification.
Plug one end of the HDMI cable into the Blu-Ray player, and the other end into one of the HDMI connectors on the TV, noting which one you selected.
When you turn on your Sony Blu-Ray and your LG TV, you should use the remote for the LG TV to select the input source. Your LG remote should allow you to select the HDMI input connector you used, at which point you should see the display of a DVD playing on the Blu-Ray player. If you cannot hear the sound, use the LG remote to increase the TV volume.

HDMI [High Definition Multimedia Interface]. VGA [Video Graphics Array]. AV [Audio Video]. By these definitions itself talk to you about the inputs your TV have; and it do not support VGA. Output from PC is VGA. Without a VGA input with the TV, you can't connect the PC to TV. I think I'm clear. http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/

Everything working fine, then home screen no longer displays on TV. On startup, pink dots go across TV screen, then TV goes black. Signal from most recent input is not coming trhough the audio or TV.

I have the same problem. I have an LG lcd tv as well. I have my cable box connected to via hdmi into the reciever then from reciever to the tv via another hdmi cable. I can watch tv and like the problem above see the pink dots on boot-up but I can't get the home screen to display.

Can not hook up to my Toshiba TV what cord do i need in order to make it work

Since this model of All-In-One Computer already has a built-in Digital/Analogue Television Function, as part of its standard specification, I will assume that your reason for wanting to interconnect these two devices is that you want to export computer, internet or other IT-based multimedia images to the TV for an enhanced viewing experience due to the TV's larger screen size.

The All-in-one computer has a High Definition Multimedia Interface (HDMI) Port.

If the TV also has an HDMI port, what would be required is the best quality HDMI Cable that the User can afford.

All electrical/electronic interconnections between cables and ports suffer some degree of degradation or dissipation of the signal traveling along the cable. The most efficient metal for electronic connections is gold due to its comparatively high level of electrical conductivity compared to that of other metals used for electronic interconnections.

The best cable choice would therefore be a gold-plated HDMI Cable (see below).

If the TV has no HDMI port, an HDMI to Video Graphics Array VGA Cable Adapter or ([Victor] Radio Corporation of America - the inventors) RCA/PhonoVideo Cable Adapter between the HDMI Cable leading from the computer and the corresponding VGA or RCA/PhonoVideo port on the TV should resolve the connectivity mismatch (see images below).

Once connected, the TV Remote Control should be used to change the Signal Source Input from its automatic standard (Default) setting to PC Input:

Menu -> Source -> PC -> OK.

Hi raposo69 ,

I see that you are having an error check signal cable.

Have you tried selecting the correct Input for the LG LCD monitor?

make sure that the Correct Input is selected properly to be able to detect the signal from the HDMI cable that you are using.

The audio will not confuse the video on an HDMI Video will be detected as long as the Input on the LCD monitor is selected.

Audio on the HDMI will only work if the HDMI driver is provided like on a desktop computer you will need to get the driver for the HDMI for Audio and video to come out using an HDMI cable but never will audio conflict to the HDMI video output.

I hope this hepls.

Have a nice day,

Perhaps your computer's output is at a resolution your tv can not deal with. Try using a different resolution on your computer, and the PC input is selected on the TV.

No sound from tv

look for a hdmi input via the menu/ video /source button on the remote.[different manufactuers list them differently] if you have multiple input selections on the display, scroll thru each one, wait 2or3 seconds between each input and see if your picture comes on.also check the hdmi connection
