Ge phone answering machine

Ge cordless answering machine with phone. My machine is stuck on spanish and I can't get it back to english

    The suggested solution may help with the handset language. However the problem is with the answering machine (base) language. How does one change that from Spanish to English?

The solution for the base (not the handset) is to press and hold for 2 seconds the "Skip" button (it's marked with ">>").

Press menu until you find language option. It will say like 1. English 2. Spanish Press the number for english and keep pressing menu until the last option to set the language.

Press the skip button and hold for 2 seconds to toggle the language from Spanish to English. The unit will then announce "English selected".

I have had this same problem, for about the same amount of time... I cant stand it!! Okay, here is the solution.. Press and hold the Skip button, on the base of the answering machine, for two seconds.. TA DAH!! all better. lol...

According to the manual, you hold the SKIP button down for 2 seconds and it reverts back to English. (Don't hold it down again or it's Espanol time).

My answering machine
I think I found a solution. On my phone model 27996GE3-A, I unplugged the phone for a few seconds, plugged it back in and waited until the display showed the number of messages and then I pressed the "skip" and "review" buttons at the same time and then it announced the the language changed to english. Hope this helps.

Change answering machine from Spanish to English
On the GE models believe itor not extremely simple: press and hold the "skip" button on the base until desired language is spoken. Had the same problem and after searching the web and being on hold for 45 minutes, I could't believe how easy the answer was!

The Phone's mode is stuck on Spanish
Press and hold the "Skip" button. I did this while the answer machine was ON. The english voice will say that the language has changed to english.

Answering Machine Language
Just as the other answers that were left...you just have to press the skip button. Just make sure that you press announce on the cradle...not on the phone...then when you hear the voice in Spanish just press and HOLD the skip button until it changes to English. Good Luck
