My HV board went out. I purchased a new one (part# 12920710). When I follow the instructions to reprogram it will not accept my code. Code on fridge plate is 2012. It will beep and do nothing. I can enter other codes like 0101, 0102, 0302, 0202, etc... It accepts all these codes each with a different result. What can i do?

SOURCE: HV board problem. replaced board, but can not reprogram to enter new code. what do I do?
I recently had the identical problem after replacing the high voltage control board myself. Although display looked normal, no response to programming attempts. All I could think of was that the low voltage board under the display ppanel was also bad and was about to go out and buy it ($240 locally) when I ddecided to check its connections first. Took off the display panel, unplugged the 4 connectors, plugged them all back in. When I powered up the fridge, it responded to the programming directions and has been working normally except the ice-maker made one batch of ice and then just stopped. Now I have to try figuring that one out.
