I have a RCA rt2870r and it power on the red light turns on and the uturn it on and the blue lights up but no desplay light and no sound I have no clue what going on can any one help ??

Likely a shop repair but the real issue would be all they sell are boards for this kind of set, Google the model number with parts to see what is available.

SEEMS THAT YOUR POWER SUPPLY IS ON SHORT AND IT'S SELF PROTECTING YOU WILL HAVE TO HAVE A PROFESSIONAL TECH TO DO THE JOB I JUST FIXED ONE WITH THOSE SYMPTOMS AND I REPLACED THE COIL PLUS A COUPLE OF RESISTORS AND IT'S ALIVE AGAIN
THE DOWN SIDE IS THAT THERE IS NOTHING YOU CAN DO IF YOU DO NOT KNOW WHAT TO DO, IT'S NOT AN EASY TASK

you probobaly. need a new bulb, my dad had the same problem. he orderd a new bulb off the internet and now it works just fine

The tv is an RCA model RLDED3258A-C The tv has no sound, picture, or backlight when turned on. The power light change from RED to Blue when turned on. One back led is not working.

It's completely unresponsive, so could be so many things.

What parts might be bad if tv powers on, standby light turns blue, but still no picture or sound?

RCA led tv won't turn on

Check and replace damaged component/s at its back-light inverter board, or replace this board as card basis. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Surf the site with patience. Pull up older posts. It will be best to replace the inverter board as card basis.

To some model sets; especially LED back-lighted types; the back-light inverter circuit will be part of the main power supply board [SMPS]. In such cases, the power supply board might need replacement. To some models sets, the back-light inverter and SMPS section circuit will be integrated at its main board itself. If so; the main board should be replaced. To some models of sets, all these section circuit will be integrated at its main board. If this is the case, you have to replace the main board.
