Paper jam My Brother MFC-5895CW printer continues to jam partially through the feeding process. When it jammed, I began pulling the jammed sheet from the front and it tore. I then opened the back and removed the remainder of the sheet. I closed everything up and tried printing again, but it jammed again. I tried a few times more with two successful feedings/printings, but since then every attempt to print has jammed. The sheet starts to feed, printing about an inch down from the page top, but then stops and I get a "paper jam" message. There is nothing obvious blocking the feed path. Any suggestions?

Duplo and Karagatan were early forms of Philippine drama. The Duplo was a poetic debate by trained men and women in the ninth night, which is the last night of the mourning period for the dead. The Karagatan was also a poetic debate like the Duplo, except its participants were amateurs. Both were held in homes and their theme was about a ring that fell into the sea.

Printer jams frequently. Jam is in the paper tray. It appears to try to pick up a sheet of paper and can't. When you open the paper tray the sheet of paper has been lifted up, but not enough to pull it...

Locate the paper lifter and the initial rollers and clean these with isopropil alcohol and a Q tip. These items become hard and polished and will not grip the paper properly, causing the jam.

I have a brother mfc 7420 and every time I print it tells me paper jam, I pull the paper tray out fix the paper push start it tells me paper then I have to pull out the cartridge and pull out the paper...

Sounds like there is something in the paper track that's causing this to jam. Its not always easy to get small particles cleared just by removing the jammed paper.

This may not help everyone that I send it to, but it is worth a try.
I suggest you get a sheet of Card Stock (Heavy paper) and place it in the feed way. Then press
the print button applying a slight amount of pressure on the Card Stock so it will feed through the printer.
The reason for this is in some cases I have been able to clear the paper track of debris that was deposited there over time.
Worth a try, as I have fixed a number of printers this way, saving costly repairs.
Hope this helps. Bud

Brother MFC-8840D printer w/false paper jam indication.

With my Brother 8840D I have had paper jams that when cleared would not delete from the display nor would the machine operate until I unplugged the machine for around eight hours. I guess it is a sort of reset or reboot.

Paper jam while printing on BROTHER MFC-290C all-in-one

hey

try this
  1. Turn off the printer.
  2. Remove any paper trays. Inspect them for wrinkled or damaged paper.
  3. Also open the back cover of the printer if this model has one.
  4. Open any other doors that give access to the printer's paper path and to the toner or ink cartridge.
  5. If necessary, remove the toner or ink cartridge. Place it away from light/ sun light to avoid damaging it.
  6. If you find a piece of jammed paper, remove it by holding it with both hands and pulling firmly. The goal is to keep the paper from tearing. If several pieces are jammed together, try pulling out the middle piece first to loosen the jam.
  7. If the paper does tear, try rotating the roller gears manually to free the paper. Don't force anything, though. Do this step especially if the jam message comes up repeatedly without any obvious paper jam, there may be a small tear of paper inside.
  8. Ones the printer is free of paper Replace the toner or ink cartridge and paper trays, close any doors you opened and turn the printer back on.
  9. If the printer paper jam message still appears, then there is still some paper in the printer. Reinspect the paper path.
  10. see alternative if the problem is still not solved.

alternative :
Load a piece of thick paper, for example photo paper and press the resume button (may be diffrent button on diffrent models) a few times to the printer picks up the paper and puts it through the machine.

Multiple jams

I waited awhile to let the machine cool down (and me too!) Then I put in a fresh batch, being especially carefull to align everything. Since then it's worked fine. I did print out a cupla emails while I was chillin.
