Hi stanely, if you still got that problem of your mp3 player playing at snales pace, the solution is to reload the Firmware software on you mp3 player.
That is found on the CD that came with your mp3 player. If JNC makes standard CDs then, it should be in a FW folder on the root of your CD and has a funny long name to it, like "MU-328QZ-2091N-V3.2-JNC-NOFM-071006.bin". You have to load this on your MP3 player using the upgrade software thats on the CD as well. Below are the steps of how to go about it...
You can first format the mp3 player, there is a tool that comes with the software that formats the mp3 player, but you can use windows to format the player as well.
1. Install the MP3 Player Utilities software thats on the CD 2. It should have a MP3 Player Upgrade 3. Use the upgrade tool from step 2 to load the Firmware file 4. Run the download/installation 5. Load your songs 6. Enjoy

I have the same player. The AC cord I use just plugs in, there is no transformer or anything. I am not sure what to tell you - just the cord has the following printed on it, not sure if that will help.

which Adapter (voltage and current) Ineed for this? Please help...

Two possiiblities:
1)the suffle has been turned on - consult your user manaul for how to turn off, jvc website if you have lost manaul
2) corrupt datatbase - reset, reformat player
There are two ways to format an Mp3 player - one on the computer itself, and one in Windows Media Player. Both methods will end up erasing all the songs on the player, but the player will be "good as new" after that. Sometimes reformatting in this manner will override the player's native formatting and cause problems - this can be reversed in most cases by updating the player's firmware. Firmware upgrades are available from most manufacturers' websites.
WARNING: The following procedures will erase all songs on the player.
Check if the file system is NTFS. If yes, format it to FAT or FAT32. - Connect player to computer, double-click my computer, right click on icon of mp3 player and select format. This only applies to Windows-based computers. You can also format the player in Windows Media Player itself: Connect your Mp3 player to the computer and open Windows Media Player. Click on the Sync tab. Pull down the drop down menu underneath the Sync tab by moving your cursor over the Sync tab and left clicking on the little black arrow underneath the Sync tab. Highlight "name of Mp3 player here 1GB" (wording may vary slightly), and then select "Format." - this should erase everything. -Tha Mp3 Doctor
Go to jnc website and check their mp4 section (or better yet call JNC) - www.jnc-digital.com; they definitely have mp3 players that rae compat, but you will need to check the manuals for their mp4's to be sure - calling is usually quicker
