CD I record will not play in the Fisher DAC 243

I am using the standard Sony 700 mb CD-R and my recorded music will play in the computer but not in the Fisher DAC 342 changer.

The programs I am using are Pyro Pro Cakewalk, Express Burn Plus and Windows Media Player; same results with all. I have no idea what format the cds are, they are just off the shelf cds.

Thank you, I will give it a try.

Hey, try a diffrent cd, if the changer plays other original cds just fine, then its most likely doesn't support the format the cd is in. What program did you use to burn the disc basically everything you can tell me about the burning process you did would be helpful.

New CD-R discs read Data Only. Can the Sony RCD-W100 be adjusted to record with today's crop of CD-R discs?

Were these discs labeled CD-R Digital Audio? This compact disc recorder can't record to CD-R data disc for computers. See the manual on page 7. The manual is available here: https://www.sony.com/electronics/support/res/manuals/4246/42460761M.pdf .

Apparently, there is a header section on CD-R Digital Audio discs that tells the RCD-W100 that the disc is for audio recording. The work-around would be to process your audio files on a computer and then write the music to the CDs that you currently have.

I wish that I had better news for you.

I can't find a CD that works in this machine.

Are you just trying to play them, Or is the disc player a recorder (Allso)?

I CANT RECORD CASSETTES ONTO A FLASH DRIVE

You can't. Cassettes are analog and the USB only recognizes MP3. The USB will only record off a normal CD or a CD with MP3s on it. It won't record other formats. The unit only allows to record from CD to cassette or from CD to USB. There are some cassette decks that will convert to MP3. Just do a search for "cassette to MP3 converter"

My cd recorder wont read blank cds help me please

Do as it asks, insert blank CD-Audio or CD-Music media.

Discs for recording
For recording, make sure to use special audio discs only.
These discs are marked with “Digital Audio” and the logos shown below.
There are two different types of audio discs for the use on this CD recorder:
– CD-Audio Recordable (CDR) discs
These discs can be recorded on once and
play in all standard CD players and CD
recorders, when they are finalized.
– CD-Audio ReWritable (CDRW) discs
These discs can be recorded on, erased and
re-recorded many times and play in CDRW
compatible CD players and CD recorders,
when they are finalized.
– All Philips CD players and CD recorders
with the sticker shown here are CDRW
compatible.
To ensure proper working of the set we recommend the use of Philips audio CDR and audio CDRW discs only.
Note: Do not use a computer CDR or CDRW as recording will not work!

Go here and download the manual. You'll need it.

Recorded audio CD will not play

Most likely the recorded format is wrong and that is the cause.

Tdk da 5700 not recording

Cleaning will not help if it plays fine and does not record.

The previous owner was right, those can only record on "Music CD-R or Audio CD-R" . If it does not have that printed on the disc, it willnot record with it. many people think that a CD-R they use in the computer will work, but they won't. So make sure you are not using a CD-R meant for a computer.

Try using Sony, they work good for me on most all recorders I repair.

If that does not work, you may just need it to be serviced, or take it back to the guy you bought it from and get your money back. He sold you a bad recorder. They are very exspensive to repair most of the time.

Sorry I did not have better news, good luck and let me know if you need any more help.

Intermitent audio

I had that happen before, one problem was my car had bad shocks or i hit a pothole in the road. The second time i had the volume up so loud the bass wass thumping the floor and it skips the CD. My question is, how lowd is the thign turned up? :P Some CD players load the data into a memory and then it plays from the memory till it needs more info. It maybe that the unit is not stable or the CD is not balanced right so it cant read the info at a consistant speed. The music maybe playing faster then it can read because of the vibrations. Is the disk clean? i know this may sound dumb but it is easy to over look. If the surface of the data side is so scratched up it may have problems reading the data quickly enough. Sometimes the coating can fall of the disk if you hold it in the light you can sometimes see spots threw the disk where the foil has been chipped off. The CD player could have a focus problem also, it could be damaged in shipping or have been dropped and it cant focus properly on the data. Do you have any other disks to try? a new one? one you never play?
