Possible too much air entering the burner tube to which the burner is attached.
But there might be some soil on the burner that you are not observing.

SOURCE: Problem with Kitchenaid Electric Range Stove Top Burner

there may be a loose connection in either the pipe or on the burner rings on the surface. Some stoves have a safety cutoff if gas supply is interrupted to avoid prolonged gas supply.

FLAME IS YELLOW INSTEAD BLUE for sunbeam gas range

Yellow usually means more air than gas mixing at the burner. The top of the stove lifts off. There are adjustment screws in front of every burner. Turn the burner on after first locating the screw. Turn the adjustment screw until desired flame is achieved. You want a flame with a yellow tip and the body of the flame blue. Please be very careful not to get burned. Hope this helps.

THE FLAME IS YELLOW AND PUT SUIT ON MY POTS HOW DO I CORRECT

The spuds need adjustment on the top burner gas valves. The oven safety valve needs adjustment too. Get a good fitting wrench and tighten down the spuds till the yellow goes away. Adjust the air shutters as needed.

The southbend 436d range gives a yellow flame at the burners

Hello. Please advise if your unit is supposed to run on propane, at the bottom of the oven door is a smaller panel, depending on age, it either lifts slightly, and then folds down, or clearly has screws on the front. Your Model/rating plate is behind this, either on the back of the panel, a tag screwed to the frame, or on the bottom ledge of this area. It should state what gas the unit is meant for, propane or natural. If it was not converted to run on propane, or made to run on propane, this is your problem. If it was built/converted for propane I would suggest you contact your propane supplier, or a restaurant service company to look at it, it would require a few specialized tools, pressure testing, orifice size req., and burner BTU. to go much further than cleaning the dust out of the burner, and cleaning the orifice.

Hope that helps, and thank you.

Jenn-Air JGR8855BDS Gas to propane conversion

propane is higher pressure than natural gas, there should be some orifices on the stove for the top burners, some have them near the top in a metal clip, some have them in a lower location, usually you can see them from the back of the stove. the oven and broiler may only need "tightened down", and the air blend will probably need adjusting for "flame color", you don't want yellow flame tips, good luck!

Burner flame adjustment

there are two considerations for burner height. 1) the gas adjustment screw on the knob and 2) the gas-air mixture to the burner. establish a flame and adjust the screw for a standing flame at the burner. adjust the gas-air ratio orifice so that the flame has no yellow tips.
