Sinotec Hi I purchased a Sinotec LCD 42inch TV 2 years ago. The clarity and picture quality from first day has been absolutely poor. I have tried out different settings but have made it worse. Its dull and blurry. I wish I could just default the settings but I cannot. Would you be able to advise what the setting/markers should be for the picture mode/contrast/brightness/saturation/sharpness/colour temp and NR. Many thanks hope to get a solution. Thx Linton

On the inside of the TV, on the flyback transformer there should be two controls. Turn the one that says "screen" very slowly clockwise while looking at the pix. The pix should get brighter as you turn it up- if you go to far you will see lines in the pix or the TV may shutdown.

Vertical defection failure. Common failure. Pretty easy to repair ($50-75?). However, my general rule of thumb is not to waste any more money on TVs over 10 years old. Too much other stuff in there ready to fail as well.

Try Holding Down The music button for about 10 seconds. Worked for me.
